Pilots and Tonkers?
It has just stuck me and I can't remember from the Beta but I am assuming DICE have got rid of Pilots and Tonkers. Anyone else notice? Looks like we could be back to "TAXI FOR SNIPER"".

@ElliotLH No, I am not able to fly anything in Battlefield. Everything behaves so counter intuitive for me. So I crashed, and I guess caused 5 deaths.

So I crashed, and I guess caused 5 deaths.I had that.... its that few seconds where you try and work out whether the pilot is coming back and whether you should jump into the pilot seat and try to save the crew, or save yourself and bail.
You can invert the controls you know.
- @lzilchetl Yeah, and when I do that, then something else is wrong.
Last century I played Gunship 2000 and flying helicopters was pretty solid that time, but BF helicopters behave totally different somehow.
- @kregora Yeah, the AI will always make way for real players in vehicles - both when spawning in and getting in, and since - in the beta - you could not see if the vehicle was AI piloted or player piloted, it was/is a gamble.
Actually I hope they add that to the spawn map, so you can see who is in the vehicle before spawning on it.

And this is likely the reason for all the player reports of spawning into vehicles only to immediately crash and die. Happened to me as well, several times.
The beta did not have the "grace period" that has been in the past games when spawning in, where if the spawn location becomes deadly , it pulls you out again, so also hoping they will add that back in.
