I understand the intention behind the decision, but the effect is forcing everyone who plays Breakthrough / Rush to play the same map twice in a row. This is something that many players actively try to avoid in regular matchmaking, as in backing out of the lobby if the same map comes up again.
What was the reasoning for BF5's breakthrough rotation system of changing maps and switching teams, and how does that design decision still not apply to BF2042?

You still have the option to leave and find another server if you don't want to play the other side. We are not taking away that choice for you, but at least making it easier to experience both sides of the round.
- 4 years ago@Straatford87 people were already leaving servers because of getting the same maps before this, because a proper map rotation is either broke or non-existent, now you pretty much just doubled having to play the same maps.

Can you clarify if in AOW whether players stay connected to the same server between matches? That's something very ambiguous to the player base. I've read posts that mention if you don't hit Esc or Continue buttons at the end of match and let the game auto transition to the next round, you stay connected to the same server. Is that true?
A common complaint amongst my friends is getting the same map multiple times in a row due to random matchmaking in AOW. And I've told them to do the "auto transition" trick. The supposed benefit of staying connected to the same server is to never get the same map twice in a row, as the server rotates the maps.
If there is no such feature that keeps players connected to the same server, then I'm complaining under false assumptions. I should just exit after every AOW match.
