My theory: You managed to shoot an incendiary nade as it was being thrown/in the air. It detonated as a result of your lucky shot. You get the associated damage.

you killed the person in the corridor who was just about to throw an incendiary grenade dropping it on the ground. A seperate player just ran trough said flames expecting it was friendly or god knows why and you got a free kill

@X-Sunslayer-XI would agree with "someone throwing a grenade" theory, but that kill happened way too fast. According to damage number, it was a single person going from 100 to 0 in a split second.
I tested it and the incendiary grenade takes good 2 seconds to burn you from full health.
There is something else going on that I don't get.Yes, the burning sound and scream suggests (Btw why do I hear it when being good 30 meters away?) that it was fire damage. But damage speed doesn't add up with how this nade works
