I suggest you make that distinction of the year pass not being a “purchase” that crosses over from the platform you purchased it on to others. I bought the XSX version under the false impression that a year 1 pass was “purchase” and would be accessible. To be honest, I feel mislead given that the Year 1 pass is the only purchase one can make for BF2042.

The battle pass is considered an in-game purchase though, since you have to buy it with Battlefield Currency. DICE and EA stated multiple times that your in-game purchases follow you to any platform you play on.It makes no sense to make someone buy the battle pass multiple times. Not even Call of Duty makes their players buy those battle pass multiple times. The COD battle passes are available on whatever platform you're playing on after purchasing it once.Editing my post to add the screen shot from EA's own blog post about cross progression in this game. It says purchases carry over to other platforms and the battle pass is obtained via an in game purchase. You buy it with Battlefield Currency. The battle pass is also not listed in the excluded items list. So according to the information EA has provided, it should transfer across platforms after purchasing it only once.

@legattotsumaki I'm very interested in this too. I plan to get the Gold edition on PS5 because I have a lot of friends still on PS4. So when I play with them, does my progression transfer between PS4 and PS5 versions?

Are you able to confirm this now with the latest announcement? It wasn't clear if the complete pass is shared between platforms or if you could progress it on one platform if you owned it on another, merely that you get to use the rewards. Thanks!

@WangdalfNothing came out today that clarified this. Historically, cross progression has not been supported.

For what it’s worth, especially if you are paying full price for multiple, different copies of the game, I do not see why this should still be restricted, unless there is some inherent difficulty in the account linking / association between a console account(s) and PC…?

Has this been implemented yet or has it been delayed/cancelled?

@denogginizer Progress across platforms is already available - I have transitioned from PS to Xbox, and my progress was transferred.

I am speaking about purchases (year 1 pass). The year 1 pass evidently does not cross over.
