PS5 aim assist
What am i missing? I never really noticed an issue before update and didn’t notice any improvement after the update. What issues are you having on PS5 that are specific to aim assist?

There were lots of complaints about tracking fast moving targets being horrible - the aim assist would actually work against players in these cases, making it near impossible to lead your shots. I have yet to check if the latest patch eliminated this issue

Hmmmm. Hadn't really noticed a tracking issue. Tuned down my assist from launch to about 70 since that was my setting for bfv. Turned it up to 100 after patch to see how it felt and noticed zero difference. ?
Tracking issue was apparent when using high magnification scopes for mid/long range combat, where the target is either running, parachuting or ziplining

@caroliroAs a PC player, I don’t know how the change affected consoles but I can say I’m dying to consoles with headshots way more since 1.2 rolled out. That’s not a *, just a statement of fact. Dying faster too, it does feel like they’re tracking me way better. I’d be ok if they rolled it back too 🤣
I haven’t noticed any improvement but I’m also dying faster than I was before the patch. I don’t think the aim assist is the culprit. I even went so far as to turn mine completely off and have not noticed much of a change. I think the way they are populating the servers and the whole cross-play thing in general is a bigger part of the problem.
@ATFGunrThere is no snap aim or sticky aim in 2042.
What happened is that the patch removed the slow bubble that was always forcing console players aim to slow drastically when near an enemy forcing the console player to input more stick to compensate. If the target turned suddenly the aim would leave the slow field throwing off the controller users aim.
In essence the aim assit actually made it harder to aim. Now controller users aren't being effected by that.
I have noticed a change with the latest update, I aimed at an enemy and the sight definitely 'pulled' towards the target, which I hadn't noticed before. I guess the trick is to let the aim assist do its job and not fight against it when you have someone in your sights.
Aim assist definitely seems a little more aggressive than pre update for me. I dont use Snap Aim--if I recall, it doesnt actually snap your reticule to the target when you ADS in Battlefield games but could be wrong. Never seemed to work for me anyways. If it does actually snap, i hate that *. Feels horribly unnatural and is a literal aim bot (more so than just slow down bubbles and dragging).
Personally, I just want Gyro Aim implemented. Its my preferred method of aiming for controllers and is a million times more intuitive and better than stick aiming. Pretty much mimicks the same response as a mouse on PC. Can 'flick' with much greater speed and accuracy.
