Re: Cheaters on battlefield 2042

@SpoolaZ the main reason is because i know from personal experience that there are enough players throwing hackusation like its free candy...
not every player who kills you is cheating and not every player who has a plus 3 KD is cheating i have heard both statements before...
and teh current reference is BFV a game that had next to no working anti-cheat so yeah not having seen any rage hackers in 500+h is a big win in my book

I will say that I have seen a few very suspicious players, people that have uncanny game awareness.

But the amount of spotting in this game is a total joke and it could of course be a matter of being spotted (which we must expect to be all the time).

Other games using EAC still have cheaters (Apex etc), but compared to earlier BF-titles, BF2042 is very "clean" and cheaters are not really a problem (I haven't felt it at least).

I agree that not all,but many in that group of players are not clean and use some form of cheating. I can also refer to BF3-4 myself, didn't see many rage hackers in the 800 hours I spent on it. But that doesn't mean it had few cheaters, on the contrary, they were very numerous. The worst category were the chaos cheaters, those who thought the cheats would make them better and thus ran around completely brain dead and only gave the game a chaotic feel and therefore also became easy prey for anyone who could play. What I especially remember, which was really noticeable, was when the ban-waves against big suppliers hit, it suddenly went quiet on the servers and all the chaos disappeared for a couple of hours, it was the same way every time, and it spoke for itself. Were there accusations? Yes, a lot, but who cares.
  • My guess is server anomalies. I swear on most servers what I'm seeing is actually a second or 2 behind what is really happening. As explained above about the getting shot after you've turned the corner by 10 feet.

Hard to tell on a game that is as broken as this one is. That being said I did see a player put up over 400 points in a CQ round with over 220 kills while the next guy had 35.

Could have been flag spamming in a Helo though.

There are plenty of cheats being sold for this game. The cheat providers aren't developing and maintaing them for their health. People are buying and using them. Rage hackers have never been the issue. It's the closet cheats that gain the advantage. Part of DICE's new anti-cheat strategy has been to minimize the awareness of the issue. This was the real reason for removal of the scoreboard, removal of all chat, and removal of spectator mode. Cheating and being good at the game aren't mutually exclusive. There are very good players who also augment their ability with cheats to get an extra advantage. Even pro's have been caught live doing this. You can guarantee that some high skill amateurs also do this from their home.

In any game, there are many people that say they have not run across a cheater. Either they think people are rage hacking to be considered a cheater or they are just cheating themselves. I feel there has been a significant uptick in cheating in the game since the update. It has been too many situations I have been one-shotted from across the map. I am not talking about someone who is a better shot. The instance stepping out of cover for a millisecond and headshot.

    Server issues,

There are absolutely millions of potential issues that affect game play, "*" even a temperature difference in a country can affect line transmission, never mind 64 player data input for 64 different locations.

I've seen clips where aimboters complains about some sync problems, but it hasn't, and won't stop them from cheating, and definitely shouldn't be a catastrophic problem for someone who lets the software do the aiming. Then you can wonder how much thousands of cheat programs in operation at the same time have for cost in the form of delays and sync problems on a server, have no idea but it shouldn't be completely free anyway.

In order to amuse your pride and sit at the top of the table, it is not necessary to launch AIMBot that will help you shoot accurately. It is enough to launch wallhack and if your hands grow from more than one place, consider yourself a REMBO on the battlefield. Only a not far-sighted player launches AIMBot on official servers

Rage hackers is one thing. Doesn't mean there ain't people with same hacks who's gaining advantage and ruins other people's games. Rage hackers is just worst of them. Pretty sure I've seen few careful hackers.

I'm way more bothered by people quietly using wallhacks and subtly configured aimbots vs. obvious rage cheaters. Because, with closet cheats you don't know where the skill actually is. There are ways to configure the cheat engines to only make very minute micro adjustments to aim (lots of configuration options). So you do 99% of the aim work, and the software makes the micro adjustment when you fire to get the hit. You can randomize hitbox location, etc. Without spectator mode it's impossible to determine if those are in use. We know they are out there. Because the cheat providers continue to develop, market, sell, and update the software. They don't do that unless people are buying them.

    AND>>>>>>

Just last night it was one of those potential cheater moment that makes you go Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I shot a player with a full mag, most  rounds had hit markers and the guy just danced and jumped and one shot me, the whole game was filled with really weird * going on, and again players with over 100 kills in a 30 minute round, do the math????

Someone is exploiting something and especially my dead *.    😉

@DigitalHype really good point, it's a from of PROPAGANDA used by media too, if we don't tell you about it it doesn't exist, if it did exist we'd have to acknowledge it and do something about it, denial is the easy route, much like most of society.

Big influx of low ranking players lately who have laser aim. Always hit the head, and if they do get shot, frequently survive with exactly 4hp. It is always 4hp. Couple of older offenders as well who continue to plague matches when they turn up...and get grouped together with other particularly suspect players who don't seem to have a scrap of recoil, and often have no clear line of sight to shoot you, be that physical obstructions or stuff like smoke and vegetation obscuring you. If I cannot see them while looking straight at them with something in the way, they can't see me. Yet it is always a pinpoint headshot. I'd wager there are a lot of people trying to sneakily use cheats these days, instead of just standing in one spot mowing people down like they used to.
