- This is the same guy who said "we're ahead of schedule" months before BF 2042s launch. Sorry but I can’t believe anything this guy says. He reminds me of a politician right before election time. Tell people what they want to hear to get them to buy into the lies.

I have bigger fears. The world is changing. Battlefield is like rock music. Less and less people enjoy it or appreciate it.
The other day I was playing conquest on discarded, and I watched a scene unfold on the big field. There was a tank, struggling against a helicopter and against another tank and infantry. Almost died but somebody jumped out of the tank and repaired the tank. Another guy started to shoot rockets at the helicopter trying to help out the tank. More and more people jumped in and the tank survived. It was amazing to watch the whole thing. That is my Battlefield, my rock music which less and less people care about.
Most people nowadays, see the tanks and helicopters and the weather as a distraction.
“ please don’t bother me or bug me while I am running and shooting between walls.“
This will destroy Battlefield. There is not enough players enjoying thie ‘battlefiled ‘aspect of gaming. Everybody wants fast paced run and gunning. Dice tries to do everything to make money. They have to cater as much as they can to the new crowd. Let it be micro transactions or cringe lines at the end of the rounds, etc.. they have to put a DJ on stage with Metallica. You know what I mean?
I don’t know if battlefield can be saved, it’s like doesn’t matter how good the next Metallica album is, I don’t think the radio suddenly will start to play rock music more. Dice is in a tough spot, even if they remaster battlefield 3 or battlefield 4, not as many people will play it as 10 years ago. They need to make money, they are a business. Good luck to them. I wish they will succeed somehow.

Pretty good analogy, which is I try to qualify some of my posts with the fact that it feels like i’m no longer their market audience. You know, the couple of 40+ year olds in the world buying games……..
- CloverDeuce3 years agoSeasoned Ace@FlibberMeister 50+ here...
If they were smart, they would have two parallel BF titles running. One is a direct competitor to COD/APEX/PUBG etc, fast TTK, lone wolf stuff with a free-to-play component, then have the traditional BF title with a campaign and BF3/4 style gameplay and game modes, with updated graphics, destruction, and a small new twist like the "T-System".
And to think, in this title we got neither and the least amount of MP content ever in a BF title.
- JOGAGATYA3 years agoSeasoned Ace@CloverDeuce Me too. Approaching 50 I play on the PlayStation 4 with other guys with a microphone. Just randoms. When I finally enjoy the game with someone, they like to talk, just like me, they don’t really enjoy just running and gunning, and they like the huge all out warfare. And they’re all around 50 years old.
- CloverDeuce3 years agoSeasoned Ace@JOGAGATYA Hit me up. I am usual on most evenings PST (Clover Deuce) Always got my mic on.
BUT... I did just purchase my 1st COD title ever because of how bad this has gotten, especially the past couple weeks with the insta-kills and 300m AM40 one shot deaths.
Hoping it gets better, but my faith is gone on this one unfortunately and I won't ever pre-order another BF title like I have since BC2 because of it either. @JOGAGATYA I'm not 100% sure you're correct. Yes there are those that like all that bunny hopping, sliding jump happy BS, but this game proved it's not all about that when it says "Battlefield". There is a reason the player numbers are so low and it's not just all the game breaking bugs...it's the face they tried to put on BF. I'm willing to bet if this game was BF1 like in classes, movement and netcode, and UI but had no bunny hopping and sliding, no "heroes", still had mediocre maps and crappy weapons balance, and even ADS issues, you would have more players and lots of them. Not nearly as many as if the game was on the money, but much more. It's really the fact that this is a BF game in name only that has run most of our brothers and sisters off...with the craziness of trying to make this into something it's not.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@Echo6EchoI think there’s enough of the older crowd who don’t want the Apex COD experience, and want to continue to play the BF style it was known for for 19 of the last 20 years. They’ve had their chance to try it, and it obviously DID NOT WORK. They didn’t do the other games as well as the other games have, and they didn’t do their own game as good as they could have. So basically they have nothing. Normally when a leader screws the pooch as hard as this one has, they’d be out on their *. Want to make a BF game people want to play? Read these forums, listen to the passionate opinions of your player base. (It’s possible to separate the actual ideas from the silliness, takes some time though) The road map is there over multiple past games and if they’re willing to listen, they could make a game we’d play. Of a Clan, we had over 100 in the BF division. Many would come back. They bought 2042, and they walked away. That’s on Andrew Wilson. Talk is cheap. No preorders, no Gold or Ultimate, show us the game ready to go and maybe, just maybe, we’ll give you our hard earned money.

EA CEO has $19.3 million dollars of "work to do"...🤔
2020 - $21.9 Million
2021 - $39.2 Million
2022 - 19.9 Million (EA CEO cut salary approximately 50% due to negative shareholder feedback)

@DeepSixxxxGeez, even with a fraction of that money, any one of us would never have to work again...
It shows where the priorities lie and they are not with the customers.
It is clearly more about how many people one manages to sway into buying at launch or to pre order instead of what the product turns out to be.
- JOGAGATYA3 years agoSeasoned Ace@CloverDeuce Are you on PS4 though? The game actually plays well for me and my friends on last gen. No insta kills. We kinda enjoy it.
- JOGAGATYA3 years agoSeasoned Ace@CloverDeuce I am playing on PS4 (PS name: JOGAGATYA)

I certainly hope you are right and then in this case Dice has a very easy job to do when they’re creating the next battlefield game. Let’s hope for the best this is my favourite franchise.
