The problem is that 2042 straight up removed or ignored features from past games that would benefit it right now. Get out of here with "living in the past"
Idk. I think a AAA FPS multiplayer only game without a scoreboard is unacceptable.
I think flashy cartoon heroes don't belong in Battlefield
I think weapon variety is important. 2 LMGs is laughable
I think having the same exact character on both sides of the field is lazy and unimaginative
I think the absence of previous games mechanics/features that were beneficial such as leaning/peeking is lazy
I think calling said features "legacy features" that need to be discussed should have had that discussion before the game came out and not after

There is nothing wrong with you liking the game. There is also nothing wrong when other fans are unhappy. They have just as much right to voice their opinion as you do. My advise is, if you're happy, dont come to the board. Dont look at topics. Why bother? Go play.
The general misconception is that the 'haters' wont stop because of bugs. this isnt about bugs. Every game today has issues on release. No one can make perfect software. Too many variables. Also a lot of people are only comparing BF4 to 2042 because so much content is missing. On top of that, 2042 does not have a single player campaign, you would expect there to be a ton of content. Fact is, there is not. Also, there is nothing wrong with arguing, why remove past core functions that WORKED? Why remove the competitive aspects of the game. To make people feel good about themselves even when they suck?
I think most people made peace with the specialists. I have. Im ok with them. It is what it is. No need to go back now. But 2042 misses a lot of the basic things for me to fully enjoy it. The problem with these releases, people get used to it. They make it OK for EA to release an unfinished game because a few people do enjoy it. I know at least 10 people who are BF fans and they do not play 2042 atm.
So we do not want to live in the past. Im all for moving forward but 2042 is an unfinished, unfocused game.
I like the game a lot but it needs a lot more variety in weapons, much better infantry map flow, and balance/bug fixing before it is great.
