Recoil

Hello. Look, I'm gonna skip the formalities here. You guys need to tell either your BF2042 team or DICE to fix the vertical recoil in BF2042. Seriously. I've been a die-hard BF fan since Bad Company. THE FIRST ONE. I have also shot real firearms as part of my personal defense traing I do. Autos, handguns, etc. All of the automatic weapons in BF2042 have waaaayyyyy too much vertical recoil. Most firearms and ESPECIALLY automatic weapons recoil straight back and SLIGHTLY upwards. If anything, the recoil should depend on your type of ammunition, muzzle device, forward grips, body size, and other physics. IN BF2042 HOWEVER, somehow every single rifle whether it be 5.56, 7.62 x 39, 5.45 x 39, whatever, recoils into the sky like I'm shooting a Browning M2 machinegun on a bicycle. Like bro. Guns DO NOT work like that. Virtually EVERY SINGLE WEAPON in BF2042 has completely unrealistic recoil. In BF3, it was good, in BF4, slightly worse but still good. DON'T EVEN get me started on horizontal recoil. Sorry but NOT REAL because the only way that's possible is if your barrel harmonics are off or your on a barricade or something without a free-floating handguard. So please, I completely understand its a game but AT LEAST, make the weapons, us players use, realistic and fix the recoil. Sorry about the rant. I'm just very angry over this because every other developer gets weapons and recoil completely wrong and you/DICE being the ones out of everyone wanting more realism, I expected better firearm "quality" I guess. Again, sorry about the rant. Pls fix 🙂

I will say this ONE more time, and ONCE more only:

The MAJORITY of players play on DEFAULT values.

So, if you come here looking for advice, you will find NONE.

It's literally impossible to advise anyone on ANYTHING related to the game when there are so many variables.

I'm very tired and I literally don't have the want, nor the need to elaborate.

    I will give this FINAL piece of advice;

LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME FOR YOURSELF!

If you have an issue with recoil - Increase your Field of View(+ ADS FOV ON(Crucial or you should have left it as was).

If I was a game developer, I would save myself a LOT of grief by ensuring that EVERYBODY played the same game.

    Gibl3ts signs out here,

    GL to all.

@Gibl3tsspeaking of which: personal ideal settings for the Xbox are *not* portable to the PS system. I.e. it is a completely different playing experience between the consoles with the same settings. (Has to do with the internal mechanics of the controller: torque, moments of inertia, etc.) Players should bear that in mind when copying settings from YT videos.

All this jumping through hoops because they can't seem to find/fix the hitreg issues. If the hit registration was fixed, we wouldn't need bullet spread!

Just think no more hit behind cover "taking cover would be an effective counter". No more one-shot kills "Making TTD more in synch with what it should be".

The recoil nerf which took place 2 patches ago (if I recall) made the assault rifles almost unplayable at medium distance.

Also I'm curious to find what shadow nerfes has been done on AR bullets because now it takes 8-12 bullets (standard mag + bodyshots) to kill anyone at 15-20m away.

There's a high chance now to be more effective at medium distance with an SMG.

The new meta is -> SMGs and LMGs. Join any CQ128 game and you'll see how many PPs, PBXs and Avancys are now used by PC players.

Feels like it takes too many from distance sometimes.
