I am noticing a big drop off in player numbers compared to even a few weeks ago.
Imho the fact that players are having to sit queueing in lobbies to reach the required minimum players to start, is resulting in players simply giving up all together out of frustration.
I really believe it is time to introduce a single player start (backfilled with AI) to both AOW / Official Portal Experiences so that all remaining players can get into games.

Reducing the number to start sounds like it would work.
I strongly believe that something needs to change soon to avoid an even bigger decline in the already rapidly shrinking player base.

Very sad times to see this happening in a Battlefield title. ☹️
It doesn’t help that there are so many different playlists.
Players are scattered around, waiting in all these different playlists.
The past week it was something like this;
Close combat Conquest
Conquest
Breakthrough
TDM
TDM on Haven
TDM Greatest Hits
Some player-created game mode
Some sniping game mode
1942 game mode
and finally Portal.
Good to hear numbers are actually dropping to the point they can't fill servers
Just tried 2042 again after like months again, quit S7 day one cuz of the horrible Haven map and the time gated LMG.
Load in, notice CQC (no more Redacted....) it puts me into the Haven map, worst map by far. Either shooting at red triangles in the distance or getting shot in the back.
Giving a map zero vehicles doesn't make it CQC......
Uninstalled, just sad how everything turned out and never even managed to make a come back
