We really need 1-player starts on all modes. Currently I only can find a game quickly on the weekly mode. I'm on PS5 in EU with crossplay off, usually I was able to find a game on Conquest 64 or Close Quarters Conquest relatively easy, but now I have to spend too much time for lobbies to fill up, meanwhile making sure I don't get booted whilst being inactive.
At least remove the AFK timer so if I have to wait I can go do some other stuff whilst waiting.
I haven't played since mid-way through the last season, for this reason.
Even if I wanted to buy the next iteration of BF, I will not spend any money on a game that I cannot play, when I want to.
The longer I do not play, the less attractive the franchise becomes (and the more likely I will switch to another franchise or genre).
If EA cannot guarantee player access for smaller markets (I'm in Oceania), they should not release it in those markets.
Sony's experience with Concord should be a wake-up call to all game manufacturers.

Its always sad to hear players have had to give up playing and imho this should not be happening in a BF title.
Single player starts worked well for a long time in the Official Weekly Portal Experiences. I strongly believe they would work well in all AOW / Official Portal modes .
It is only recently that these modes have had their numbers increased which is a backward step especially at a time when the player base is dwindling.
It's something which should be simple to implement and it would make such a difference to all players in all regions.
DICE please make it happen.
IMHO the increase in number of players should have never happened, it's almost like they don't want us to play their game.

100% this, we spend way to much time in lobbies waiting to play as opposed to actually playing the game.
Imho 1-player starts for all modes in both AOW / Official Portal Experiences is the only answer.
I don't know it its been mentioned, but Team Death Match just went from 1 player start to 4 player start. What are they doing? In off hours it was the only game mode available at the time I play, because other game modes need high players to start.
Maybe they want us to play portal instead is only thought.
@K9_Dexter Don't think it has been mentioned, unless I just missed it or forgotten (either is definitely possible haha). I was playing TDM solo a week or two back, so it might be new. Is it just the one map or all of them?
Gonna give it a go now.
Edit: Yep. Tried Noshahr Canals, Hourglass, Reclaimed, Battle of the Bulge, and Discarded, and they were all 4 player starts.
Not nice of them to take away the last game mode that didn't need endless waiting to start.
Why not make it a 32 player start while at it?

Sadly this is another major step backwards at a time when players are already struggling to play due to the dwindling player base. 😒
They did exactly the same thing with World Tour and several of the other Portal Official Weekly Experiences, all increased from a 1-player start to four, or more in some cases.
I still maintain that we need to get the servers started asap and backfill with AI (1 player starts), and then the AI bots get replaced with humans as more players join.
It worked perfectly well before in the Portal Official Weekly Experiences so I don't see why it wouldn't work in AOW also.
DICE please make it happen so all players can spend more time playing and less time queueing.
