- @TickTack121 Yeah, I agree with that. While it looks cool and all I have a feeling this will cannibalize the main game's player base to an extent just cuz people want to do "Stupid Stuff" for youtube videos. Also, not a fan of any stat carry over into the main game.

Overall great - but is it allowed still to be sad not to see more of the many great maps from the past included?

I presume Ripple Effect will be responsible for Portal post release so I would expect more maps over time while Dice Sweden focuses on the main game.

Certainly not mate!
I too wasnt exactly ecstatic with the maps they've chosen...but man the potential of maps they could add...right?
The main concern for me about this mode is popularity. I mean if i make a mode of:
-conquest
-Snipes & Semi-auto pistols
-Transport vehicles
Will players join?
Or am i, and a few mates just gonna be shooting bots all-day?
I have no interest in shooting bots, i want to feel real tears man lol
But all-in all, this is exactly what ive wanted for a long time.

Portal looks like a blast! Havoc helicopters from Bad Company 2 and Spitfire airplanes from 1942. Plus a ton more cool stuff! Count me in. 🙌

How do you guys think this will play out?
For me I really dont know what to think of this Portal-stuff. I never really did play on or join any of the custom gameservers back-to basics in BF1 and dont believe I will be enjoying these 1v50 or defib vs knifes-gamemodes. Its to gimmicky for me and I enjoy the core-experience of the "olde" Conquest/Rush-gamemodes.
I dont wanna sound ungrateful. In theory all this sounds really cool and I can not believe how Dice went from totally butchering the custom-servers in BF1 & BFV to giving us access to every single aspect in setting up servers for BF2042.
But I also know this community and in case any of this will be a broken unbalanced mess at launch I know the interesst and hype is flushed down the toilet faster than the longevity of the Firestorm gamemode in V.

I am interested in the Base Game and that Sounds awful with the specialists.

hehe hear you,
I am even a dinosaur from the time without PC, mobile phones and internet, and who maybe should consider retiring instead of running in the way of the young ones.
But even though I'm old, half blind and without reflexes, i'm still having fun in the right game. Hopefully BF2042 is it. BFV was a huge disappointment.
