Scope Glint = a bright flashlight

although it's not quite as bad as the infamous BF3, the scope glint seen in the 2042 beta was WAY too bright and looks like a flashlight seen from a mile away.  It also shows whether sunny or stormy, which is just crazy.

  • @Steve081372 I really didn't have a problem with snipers. Didn't have time to notice many glints during all the chaos. and if my health suddenly dropped by half, I just kept moving and looked for some cover.
  • @Steve081372 You’re right, it’s not as bad as Battlefield 3… It’s worse. I understand the concept and “need” for scope glint in the game, but the effect has always been poorly implemented.
  •  No wants to play BF ala Squid Games with non-players in the rafters doing nothing but shooting the players playing the game.   Glint is the least they can do to help balance that out.

  • I'll admit I was rather slow to realise one of the three grips for the sniper rifle was a flashlight!

But yes, assuming it was just normal enemy glint I saw from across the map, it was rather severe.  Did it vary any between reflecting (facing) the sun or not?  Did glint stop during the tornado darkness?

  • You sure it was glint?

I am sure some might have been running the torch like I did took me a few minutes to work out it was on all the time,  and how then to turn off.
