So they announced the recent update after total silence since * November. And what do they have to tell us PvE players? To basically go * ourselves. No progression for us on Portal and I doubt AOW Solo/Co-op will even get any treatment. We need to * rebel against this for those who prefer PvE. We've been treated for dirt for way too long and its clear that EA REFUSES to listen to our requests despite it being the most talked about subject. Its no * wonder they got verbally abused.

That's the reason why I made this post. They've further lied to us about full progression and PvE gets NOTHING while forcing you to play PvP. That's NOT okay.

@Maxthewicked100 I have played PvP in Portal/AOW and PvE in Solo/Co-op, which is extremely restricted. And yes, stupid all around. Just take off all restrictions and let people play the way that they want.

@Maxthewicked100 Actually, you may be correct.I was interpreting the image as saying you can use the bots that are included by default with some of the game modes when setting up a portal server and get weapon / vehicle unlocks, but this might not be the case. As in my understanding was you could have bots but you couldn't change them to easy, but you are probably right and they just mean no AI altogether.I will check tomorrow, if you are correct, that is super lame.

I'm a bit confused, the news release on twitter shows xp, progression up to Mastery 12 which is all attachments, and weekly missions can be done with the portal update tomorrow.
I've attached a link to the image which explains it. Whilst the xp cap at 300 per minute is still a bit lame, you will now get progression for all vehicles and weapon attachments since these are by kills and assists rather than xp.

The only issue is games which use the rules editor - so Gun game for example don't allow weapon / vehicle progression, but that still means you could get all unlocks for weapons and vehicles by playing custom Conquest, rush, tdm and death match servers.

None of that matters because the point of the matter is you can't play with AI only. Which is absolutely stupid. They should make it so if a AI is modified, XP and progression is flatout denied. If its untouched, it should be full progression. How is that so hard to get in their thick skulls?

you can play in Portal with Ai only, just make sure the Server is either only 1 Player or Password locked.

But then most likely you won't get much XP or even None, same goes for the Battlepass it's like in other Games (For PvP Tryhards only)

There are no modes in the custom Portal setup that include AI by default that I know of. IME, the default has always been zero requiring me to change that if I want them included.
He is right..... They are saying if you change a custom Portal Experience to include AI, you will only get the capped XP and nothing else.
