So how strong should the AI Bots be allowed to be?

The bots are coming.  And its firmly confirmed by EA across all the maps/modes so far for 2042.  So one can almost become philosophical here, reminded of the epic "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" (later retitled Blade Runner: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) being the dystopian science fiction novel by Philip K. X (his family name is censored away here :o) back in 1968. I personally loved the depicted post-apocalyptic San Francisco scenario, with earth wiped by nuclear global war, leaving most species endangered or extinct. Then we have our hero Rick Deckard, as bounty hunter to chase down and "retiring" the escaped Nexus-6 model androids.  And those were clever machines, that also over time it showed developed emotions and feelings.  So should we care about the AI Bots and their k/d scores.  Actually I think that we absolutely must!

Because the big question is now, how good should EA make them be in the game, before we will see/hear the 'real humans' start to shout and cry?  Is it 'fair' that the bots are acting equally strong towards every human player in the game?  Or do some now think they should be more clever and tough against higher ranking 'real human' players and be like lost morons when facing a noob 'real human' player?  Should it be situational or consistent?

@CyberDymeIm guessing it will be a setting of Normal/Hard/Expert and so on

    That is exactly that @YT_Positive,

Pretty happy now that we know from the Portal specs that the AI bots are not going to be like quiet static mannequins we just start to get used to knowing how to fool around as 'predictable' robots.  Dont know yet if we can only grade their strength into 3 distinct levels, or if we will have a more fluid sliding scale to set this on.  We also need to figure out if the bots could be changed on their strength ability via our logic coded scripts for the server during the gameplay and depending on event/scores in the game round?  Aka they could then somehow be utilized to balance out if the humans on one team appear skill-stacked versus the other team side humans.  Another potential feature would be that AI bots could be triggered by the script to increase their strength against specific individuals, if aka enemy human k/d goes above 4:1 then AI bot could turn up the Terminator power against such select enemies.

Actually also a question for us to figure out?

How much do we accept to be 'owned' by a strong AI bot before we throw the controller/mouse up on the wall in despair?

    1:1, 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, more???
