@UMPhreak3d spotting has always been in the game. Player outlines not so much. There's plenty of options in ways Dice can balance Specialist. If she becomes a top pick, they can increase the cool-down time for her ability. Nerf the range, or highlight enemies for only a second.
BF5 lets you know when you're spotted by highlighting the mini map. I agree that you should be notified when you're spotted. That alone would help counter anyone that can spot you.
