@Spartan_Praetor Yah I don't like the specialists myself. Their "items" seem very underwhelming. Give me the option to carry two regular items and I'd be much happier. Like in the other games, let me carry a tank grenade and another anti armor weapon.

Couldn’t care less for the specialist’s gadgets, I don’t think I’ve ever used them again in a match after the first time just to see what they did, found them really forgettable, sure they can be useful but when? 99% of the time they weren’t. The medic pistol syringe is one of the most useless, I miss the old medikits or medpacs from BF4
- 4 years ago@Berserk001 some of the specialist gadgets are awesome, sentry system is awesome for spotting.
- 4 years ago@AddyRazz Yes, I can understand it, but that’s something I can accept in Titanfall or other games, maybe it’s just me but I want to rely on my skills and experience to detect enemies and not put a gadget that does the work for me (I find it lazy in Battlefield) and that’s why I prefer the Hardcore mode too:
- no minimap, so you need to know the map and pay attention to your surroundings and move more cautiously
- friendly fire on, because if you are spamming bullets and explosives randomly will get you punished
- low ttk, so when you flank enemies or ambush them you actually get rewarded
- no 3rd person view in vehicles
But I know the majority of people don’t play this way, probably only a little part of the BF community plays like me but at least form BFBC1 (where I started) until BF4, there were HC servers for us too, but from BF1 onward that’s missing. Yes, I can play Portal with custom servers, I played my hours of trial, but there’s something wrong with hitbox, random bullet spray and there is very few content from the older battlefields right now, so there’s no reason to buy the game for me.
The few matches I played in all-out-warfare confirmed my personal fears about specialists, couldn’t understand who had ammo, who had a health kits, who had AT weapons. It’s messy, it seemed to play a more refined version of MW2019’s Ground War mode with BF elements. People parachuting behind you every time in some maps. For me, old school classes would have been better than specialists, but they do fit well in Hazard Zone.
From my point of view the problem is not the bugs and glitches that can be fixed, not even the vehicles (those can be balanced), but the base game mechanics that can’t and won’t be fixed (but happy if I’m wrong about that).
Good for those who will enjoy the game but that’s way far away from what I was used to.
