squad chat

Good day

When my buddy and I create a squad before starting a match, so we can go from one map to another together, we are able to chat together via the BF chat... however we can't game chat with squad mates that are automatically assigned to us during play. Our chat setting is set to public but that doesn't help. The only way we can in game chat is not to be in a squad before starting a map but then we won't follow each other to the next map ....any ideas? Am I missing a setting?

Thank you!

  • @AcidRain_CDNIf you make a party IN GAME there is a little switch that you can turn to squad chat/party chat. Turn this to squad and if the other people in your squad have chat enabled they'll be able to hear you. If they haven't got chat enabled you'll be able to tell if when you speak you don't see the speaker sign in top right. This is only evident if you're the only one with mic on.

@AcidRain_CDN It is all about the defaults.

    1. you need to have VOIP enabled
    2. a single player defaults to listen to squad voip
    3. a party defaults to listen to party voip (as @turtlebeached  mentioned you can change that to listen to squad voip instead, AFTER joining a match)

Currently as a player you can't really check if another player can hear you at your current setting, or if you are able to hear them.

And that is before thinking about if cross platform voip is working or not.

My assumption is, it isn't working at all.
