@ro7hbard Since man first camped with a vehicle, someone has been there to steal and move the vehicle, usually into the most compromised position on the map. The real question is why you're camping and not helping your team??

A MAV placed in cover, near an objective, that deals out grenades and or mortar shells may appear as camping to you. But it definitely provides a spawn point closer to an objective than a spawn in the base or another objective.
When a player now jumps in said MAV and uses it for a 15s road rage until obliterated, that effectively eliminates the vehicle and this particular spawn point for the next 90s, I am pretty sure, the camper was helping the team, the suicidal road rager did not, and crippled the team for 90s.
But, this game already has so many player that have no clue how objectives work in breakthrough and conquest, so how should I expect that they have a clue how vehicle positioning benefits the team.
- @kregora I agree that placement and camping can help the team by placing effective fire onto a point, but I think we both know that's not what the OP is talking about.
@ATFGunrthe OP spoke about using the Mortar, that puts him pretty close to enemies.
So this is most likely not a camping in base situation. Its more a placing a MAV behind concrete blocks while attacking A1 on Exposure during Breakthrough situation. This would safe every player 200-300m running across much cover who spawns on the MAV.
Sure taking the MAV on a ride around the container so that everY M5 easily can hit the transport, offers the opportunity to spawn even closer to the objective, for maybe 15-20s.
