It's really in Origins best interest to match Steams offer right now because why would you buy the same product from a vendor that offers less of a 'warranty' period than a different vedor?
If Steam pull this off and Origin doesn't follow suit then Steam will come out of this looking like a massive Hero.
This begs the question “ does steam know something we don’t”
The guy has spent almost 2 hours in-game menus to fix his controller. He presented screenshots and other evidence. He did not even manage to get to multiplayer to get his 2 hours! It`s not bold Steam`s strategy. This is not even a pro-consumer move I would say, it`s common sense. The game is kind of broken, unfinished, with overhauls that may not suit the old fanbase. I have no idea how somebody might be shortsighted or even be able to suggest that the game is fully functioning. If the devs put a cap on XP (because the XP farms they overlooked) and there are no weapon gadget unlocks also. Tell me how is this even a full ready-to-ship release? I`m on the side of the "customer" if really the problem was on the side of the game, not a controller.
