Now that the spawn beacon has 4 charges and some other changes made to it I wonder why the APS-36 from Irish still has unlimited charges?Can't they think of something to change this that makes it just as viable but just not have unlimited charges? Add some more thought and effort in using this gadget?Two things I personally like to see changed- Not have it be unlimited, anything that makes it a little bit more engaging- Give players better feedback if their explosives are taken down (show an APS zone like you see when tanks use it?)So often I fire a M5 from cover at a tank or w/e and I duck for cover but no hit, did I miss? did it not register? I fire 3 rockets and figure out it's prolly an APS I guess? Infuriating gameplay.

@doubleome APS-36 is purely defensive and works completely as intended. It's fine. Definitely doesn't need to be touched - especially since it was put on a tripod a while ago.

@kregora I remember making a surpised pikachu face because I had put c5 on a quad and I was driving towards an enemy tank and because I passed near a sentinel, it deleted the C5 from my quad and I just crashed on the tank without explosives.

@doubleome if it becomes limited, it better start stopping tank shells too

@UP_Hawxxeye Aren't some vehicles getting APS now? Wonder if those stop shells? Or atleast the smart shells maybe.

@JediMastaWyn Is that refering to breakthrough? Because I have yet to see issues with nade spam in this game and I only really play rush or conquest. But it's those gamemodes where the APS is just completly overtuned.
Nade spam if it's a serious issue should be dealt with at the source, reduce nade spam and APS-36 can be tuned down? But if it's really about breakthrough it's the nature of the gamemode too many people focused in a small area ofc it's chaos, but that shouldn't dicate the balance of the rest of the game.

@doubleome It's not just in breakthrough. It is map and control point dependent and the play mode doesn't really matter.

It's just the unlimited nature of the thing. Why can't it just have some charges and a feedback for the Irish that placed it to know when to replace it or recharge it or something. Make it a little more engaging to use. Also punish those that just place and forget instead of engaging with it.
Even Boris has to sit near it's turret range to get the full effect, that differentiates the game between players and how effectively they play it.
They could easially do something to keep it's effectiveness just add that little engement so negligent players are punished, or that it can be overwhelmed at least.
Not have someone park their MAV, place a APS and just sit in the MAV 24/7. At least with some changes it forces him to exit once in a while placing him in vurnerable position for a little while.

Nade spam can happen in any contested area! When you have scatter grenades able to split into a half dozen, thrown from more than one source, XM3 burst rifles from more than one source both on a cooldown timer not ammo pool. RPG's, Then throw in the rest of the ordinance flying at you. APS is the only viable counter.
Beside doesn't an EMP grenade scramble the APS?
