Stingers vs flares vs reload times - something is way off here !

Dice need to pull out the stop-watch here and meassure times here. Example here - Rao hack chopper - this take some time - chopper launch flares instantly and start to fly away. I instantly pull out ...

Based on your statement that it was dropping bombs, I have to assume it was a stealth heli. If it was in stealth mode, you won't be able to lock on, so no audio cues.

@246stNSW i have had that happen a few times and before i realized that i didn't reload after the last missile i fired. if you fire, switch to another weapon before reloading, switch back to missile and ADS you won't get a tone because you don't have a missile in the tube. also happens if you are out of rockets

tl;dr make sure you have ammo in the tube or you won't get a lock
