Stop comparing BF2042 specialist to COD . BF specs were not made to sell skins !

BF2042 specialist change something to the gameplay , they have passive and active skills traits that change the way they play and react to the battlefield and the way they serve the team and teamplay...

@Stew360 what this example is meant to get across is, that specialists are mainly in this game to later on ( with the season pass) designed to sell you either skins outright, or pay to skip the grind in the seasonpass...
i am not against the specialists per say, but i do believe they are not well implemented and cater to the most egotistical gameplay i have seen in BF in a long time...
you say i need a medic what makes you believe that? just equipp the medic-pen and heal faster then the med-bag or syrette pistol can...
ofc you will find the BF players that want to help the team.

@X-Sunslayer-XHell no its not . and that you want to beleive it show you are either dishonest or i wont say the other reason to not become disrespectfull .

The reality is they would have sell skins at some point specialist or not . And COD sell skins without any game mechanics or anything of what nature attached to it ..

Specialist are Subclasses of an archetype furfilling a roles on the battlefield

Assault Flanking/pushing
Engineers Defense/walls/repair
Recon hacking/Recon/Intel
Support Medic/resuply/armor

Etc.. and they will had more specialist that will enhance the game even more .. If all they wanted to do would have been to sell skins .. They would have copied COD or FOrtnite way to do it without having to pay Designers and Devs to create this extensive and very well tought out system wich probably cost millions in salary to design code , animate and more ..

If they wanted to selll skins only they would have sell Medic , support , engineers and Recon skins that change nothing to the basic gameplay they have copy and paste for so many games lol

SPPECIALIST ARE NOT ONLY ABOUT THEIR ACTIVE SKILLS BUT THEY ALSO HAVE PASSIVE

    @Stew360 okay,
    riddle me this then:
    all you have given so far are the old class designations... so we agree that specialists are more or less the classes, just with different skins.
    and you yourslef said that they are about their passive just as much...
    what BF2042 has done is basically take one slot of equipment away from the player, thus limiting them more or less.
    now you can keep lying to yourself and claim it is for the betterment of the gameplay, but if you want to ignore the easy monetication DICE implemented with them for down the road then keep it to yourself.
    like i said before i do not care if they are called classes or specialists now, what i do care about is that they are poorly designed and clearly imbalanced. on top of the fact that sooner or later DICE will throw so many paid cosmetics down our throats that we will nto even be able to cry uncle anymore.
    and that is the main reason why they are here. to milk players of more money in a 60-120€ game

      @X-Sunslayer-X You're speaking to hot air, this guys every post is "im right, you all are wrong" and will put others down that have a different view instead of actually trying to have a conversation.
