Streamers abuse scripts/macro's, change my mind

Every once in a while I come to the realisation that it can only be that many if not all streamers or good players who do not stream are most often just using macro's or scripts to atleast reduce recoil to near zero.

Been playing FPS games for such a long time and followed many different youtubers over the years and when I look back at it all it's only since recent years that they all seem to have something in common which is nearly 0 recoil in most games they play. And the funny thing is ever so often they have a video and they just play like a 'regular' good player, like how is their playstyle night and day between some video's, just makes it too obvious honestly. And when you watch players on the world stage you see non of this.

Like I want to believe it's all possible but it just doesn't add up, 1 and 1 = 2 really.

They all just mention high FOV and FOV ADS which most regular players do not know about exists and it already makes a big difference. But even with maxed out FOV there is still plenty of random recoil that litterly having zero cannot be possible.

Like I said I want to believe it but things just don't add up, and with the ez of using macro's scripts these days 100% undetected and the fact streamers simply earn more the more popular they become, like why not make a deal with the devil? It's just in peoples nature. If I were a popular streamer I don't know if I could resist the urge, it's money we are talking about afterall. It isn't casual gaming anymore.

I rather have the odd obvious hacker that spins circles and shoots everyone in the server instead of this wasteland of not knowing what is real or not.

    its just precious :')

I always wondered about the lack of bullet spread in some of the videos. But as you said they probably have FOV dialed in.

There is a reason the cheats have a "streamer mode".

Not having looked up any cheats in ages I have to take your word for it.

    It's because of counter strike.

Na, I mean we can't really say what streamers do while live is off. But best way to learn recoil is to shoot a wall and learn from it and then start practicing and warming up. That's what I would do.

If you have no recoil control, you really wouldn't survive. That's why it would look 0 on the fly cause of tons of practice and good muscle memory.

But I won't deny if some have script/macro which imo is unlikely.

  • @doubleomeSure there are people who use macros for recoil control. But there are decent players in general.

I wouldn't call myself a "Pro" player, but I'm at least half decent. 3.4 k/d in BF5 and currently getting very close to flat 3 k/d in 2042. I never use any 3rd party "soft" like mouse macros or scripts to control recoil or help me in any way. Unless you count a mouse with extra buttons (G502 lightspeed) an unfair advantage.

Using the same weapons most of the time you just learn the pattern and recoil. In BF5 times I got fairly good with STG44 to the point where people joined as a spectator and accused me of cheating. People from old BF forums might remember me posting a huge pile of chat screenshots(Literally like 100+ chat screenshots) of people calling me out for cheating. I even posted videos for them proving that I'm not.

And then you have a guy like Silk and cope_more who absolutely demolish their enemies in choppers. Do they use scips and macros too?

  • @doubleomeFrom my experience, you can practice all you want, and have the best gear, but most online games don't run perfectly smooth all the time and are kinda inconsistent. When I see someone firing a weapon perfectly controlling not only the recoil, but the spread, every single time, then I suspect something. Even within the same round I feel like the recoil and spread changes throughout the round. Sometimes the spread just goes all over or the gun will kick up way harder on the first shot.

The motive: To appear to be the "best" and get people watching you. There can be a lot of money involved. I think it's naive to believe that there isn't a good amount of streamers cheating in FPS games. I've witnessed quite a few get caught in Destiny 2. They weren't top tier streamers or anything, but grinding away and building a following.

They're going to make it look natural as possible. They're good players to begin with, but need an edge to stand out. If they're already making money doing it, then why not write off the cheat as an expense to stay relevant?
