Tanking Observations
I'm mostly a tanker with around 10k kills in each tank aside from the TOR. Has anybody else noticed that the MPAT shell has next to no splash damage and to cap it off, the sights were changed from ...
I noticed that too. It can land a few meters and you only get a hitmarker.
Honestly, I don't understand why we have to permanently change the ammo type. In BF4 and BF5 we had an option for APFSDS/Canister shells and even laser-guided missiles as a secondary ammo option. So why can't we have a general purpose HE shell with medium penetration and decent splash damage and then separate ammo type of our choice as a secondary to engage different targets?
Somebody even mentioned the round going slower which I can believe. I don't have time to be hitting people in the face twice to kill them. There are Lis missiles coming for me and these tanks have zero protection. We should have the ability to switch rounds or something on the move. The tank and the Nightbird are the weakest vehicles in the game.
Half the time the game doesn't make sense. A tank dying to a full crew in a mav or wildcat. Angling the tank to deflect shots should also be a thing but they would probably have to rework damage models/values which would be too much work.

The MAV is so OP compared to previous battlefield games.
I remember in 3 or 4 they had to nerf the LAVs because they were owning tanks at launch.
I notice the only way to kill a full mav or wildcat crew is to jump them with the first shot. It's a matter of hitting the remaining shells and repairing them. It feels like Dice hate vehicles in 2042 and punish all vehicle players for killing infantry when infantry has the most assets available to them to insta-delete anything.
I guess after 10k kills, I'm getting a little disheartened not landing my kills when they are on target. I'm nearly S200 and debating dropping the game after that point.
