The Flying Squirrel Suit Better Not Be a Thing In The Future.

@DaRougaroux It definitely should not be in the next Battlefield game. It completely breaks balancing. You can spend a few minutes clearing an objective, and then while you're running to the next, you see Sundance flying right back to that cleared objective.

Being able to jump off of anything and go across the map is just baffling game design. The flip thing is also very obnoxious looking. I'm pretty sure they put it into the game solely to make the trailer look "cool".

Bros please stop talking like BF has ever been a realistic sim that respects the laws of gravity and physics. Yeah, it has some bullet travel time and drop and all but part of the core identify of the franchise is realistically impossible BS like rendezook.

What does "woke" have to do with removing the wingsuit? Are wingsuits woke now? Did I miss when there was a meeting where we decided wingsuits are woke now?

(bonus points for complaining about Sundance's wingsuit, and not the fact that DICE pointlessly made them non-binary and might not even remember if they did that. I still 'member the early dev streams where they forgot that they made Sundance a they/them and keep calling them she/her)

@edgecrusherO0 Creating a game-character as a they/them, is a really stupid idea. Gender dysphoria is a serious psycological issue for a very small minority of society and should not be part of video games.

That the devs cannot even remember themselves, just shows how fake Dice/EA are.

@cso7777 Honestly can't tell is this is low effort trolling or hopelessly misplaced altruism, because Sundance being non-binary has nothing to do with gender dysmorphia and it's a trait that nobody would know unless they read Sundance's character card (few people probably have).

I'm sure a few folks at DICE who came up with Sundance being non-binary actually care and wanted to do it right. I just like remembering them screwing it up shortly after launch and giggling over it because it really is a pointless, trivial detail.

@DaRougaroux I agree that a wingsuit shouldn’t be in the game, anymore than the grapple should. I disagree about the level of skill needed for the suit, the bloody thing isn’t all that easy to master. It’s flight control is the exact opposite of a vehicle, so your muscle memory for flying helps you zero, maybe even makes it worse to fly around. To use it to its full potential takes a lot of practice which translates into skill. It’s not something you can just jump into and be boss at. I’m going to assume you haven’t even tried it, probably because you’re so angry. Woke isn’t even a thing, it’s a buzzword that people like to throw around and doesn’t mean what many people think it means. What it has to do with a game mechanic is nothing. I remember when people freaked out about women soldiers in V. The keyboard warriors talk tough but I’ve worked with women soldiers in real life and the majority could kick those keyboard hero’s butts. Maybe choose your battle, is it the wingsuit or are you here to complain about social issues?

I agree with you the wingsuit doesn't belong in the game. It's game breaking in a way. Just like the grappling hook.
