People leave bc the miniguns and maneuverability are simply overwhelming and you can see live how lobbies are getting emptied by this, which in turn makes even more people leave.Most people I know quit for the day or in general, due to this being a big part of ruining the fun.Some urged me to mention the lack of properly functioning laser-targeting teamplay as a possible alleviation (which is another issue in general).And when you're not harassed by this all the time ... well call me crazy, but it's not really pleasant to see you're team like many newer players or people who can only afford 1 or 2 rounds being absolutely dominated.

There is obviously a problem with the NB, it is too agile has a small hit box and too much armament to properly balance. IMHO it is broken.Some of my best Battlefield memories are from maps that didn't feature air vehicles or where the air vehicles attacked each other and left ground troops alone. There were many of these over the Battlefield years.

Anti-air needs an overhaul. It's simply not a fun playstyle.The lack of AA isn't a 'skill' issue anymore than people not distributing ammo is a 'skill' issue. Didn't stop air mains whining about it being an "unskilled noob weapons" and wanting it nerfed until it was useless, because getting killed twice in a round was just too much nerf nerf nerf. Just like they complain about every other AA weapon being an "unskilled noob weapon".Air mains cry so much about anti-air weapons that in BF4 they would waste money renting their own servers just so they could ban anyone who had the nerve to use the anti-air weapons. "No igla/stinger fast vehicle spawn" and if you took 'their' helo or jet, or shot them down no matter how you did it, they'd kick/ban. Air mains just want to farm infantry like it's a singleplayer game with no chance of being hit, let alone shot down and killed.

Mashturr City & Songhua City only had transport helos. Strike At Karkand (BF2's most iconic map imo) only had ground vehicles. Sharqi Peniussula didn't have jets. There was an entire Special Forces expansion (which had the best map in the game imo, Warlord) with minimal vehicles and Armored Fury with more ground vehicles. Then we got BF3 where the most popular map in the game was Metro, a map with no vehicles at all.Not every map needs vehicles, and not every map needs air vehicles.If 2042 had a proper server browser and/or dedicated servers I would bet money that the majority of the player base would shift to custom portal servers where the night bird has been removed. Unfortunately it doesn't because this game uses bespoke amazon servers spun up when the lobby flushes to a game and destroys the game if the host leaves, which makes it impossible to keep a portal server up.

Try playing one night on Oceania servers. We have multiple twitch sweats who do nothing but camp the little bird to abuse it to go 100-0 every round. They all have at least one dedicated repair bithc who has nothing better in his life to do than hold mouse1 in the very rare times their helo gets damaged, using autoclickers to get the helo again if they ever get killed (and of course, give it to the sweat).

They ruin the game and DICE have catered to them at every step. They're even doing it again by nerfing Liz even more, and she's the only semi-viable anti-air weapon in the game now.

Soflam's are useless because they do nothing that you couldn't already do just by taking a stinger.
Not that it matters anyway, the air vehicles with their magic 5 second reloading flares that instabreak every lock in the game make it pointless.

They do not ruin game. Your team does. Ive been in games where i cant leave base. Get ur facts right. Bird has only 2 agms vs multiple vehicles. Do the math.

@SkyL4Ncer21I use every vehicle in the game and I've used every vehicle in every Battlefield game for ~20 years. I just don't stick to one vehicle only then ragequit if I don't get it.

The TGM is extremely easy to avoid for the vehicles that OHK's, that's the balance.

If you think it's overpowered then play a different vehicle or play as infantry to get away from them.

@XXXSELVERXXX The jankiness of Soflam does hurt for sure for Purely Infantry V Helicopter engagements, Sure some vehicles are meant and good to take out helis, but when they aren't an option (someone took it far away from where the heli is/ on cooldown) Infantry has limited options.

Liz is one good counter that requires skill and even if you miss you can distract or force the pilot to move away.
But I'm strongly against DICE's plans to nerf her for a ground vehicle focus since it takes away the one good aspect of her missile that is able to take out a NB, Jet, or SC in one hit which takes a lot of practice even if it's one person needed to counter a good heli. If anything DICE needs to actually put effort on the other engineers to be as good as Liz, not the other way around.

Soflam/Tracer dart/ rao hack would be a good alternative for a less skill required but needs teamplay option if it wasn't for the terrible lockon system that makes the time inconsistent or not visible to some players, not to mention the power of flares.

@MackTKau Every night? Yeah sure buddy totally believable i rarely find those guys and more importantly if i do find them they say bye bye with hydra rockets.

More importantly the reasons they go 100-0 is because the player is skilled or extremely lucky but more importantly YOU HAVE NO PILOTS in your team.

Try to specialize in atleast one vehicle to get rid of them and don't stick with just one way try many different ways.

Practice aim with wildcat, use choppers and fight back or if youre lazy or just can't beat him lure him towards any anti air.
Jet erases him with 4 rockets and can easily use the massive skybox to his advantage not to mention it's way faster.
