The old scoreboard
Please bring back the old scoreboard showing kills, deaths, score, ping etc of all people in the server. The new one is too messy, unclear and doesn't show me useful information or just too little in...
@1Hairy-Gorilla wrote:@OskooI_007 The fact they needed feedback to have a scoreboard in a MP game... Not surprised the state BF is in with that lol.
Which gives me a very strong sense of deja yu of this video on the 0:07 timestamp
"Don't have much to say about the scoreboard at this point?"
Just when I think my confidence in them has hit rock bottom, nope...
Clearly means it was a very intentional choice to remove it... all because 1 person in 1000 takes offence or feels bad cos they are at the bottom. So it ruins it for the 99% of other players who are either good or don't CARE about being low (my K/D was mostly bad but I was man enough for people to see that - I mostly played conquest and my goal was always to PTFO.. THAT is where I got points and it's what I cared about - often top of the score board and with a decent 63% overall win/loss ratio - back when we had stats 😉 (in BF4)... the scoreboard would reward GOOD PLAYERS and motivate us to keep going...
even in TDM where I was pretty useless, the scoreboard let me know where I stood.. and it HELPED me focus and try harder, instead of being lazy or stupid... now it's like nothing matters anymore... (along with 128 players being far too many to make you count) it's like "why am I even here - just stick an A.I player in in my place and nobody would notice or care.. inc me"...
It's simply a new feature so people can't complain about cheaters, one less thing for them to worry about. If you can't see the scores of people cheating, people won't barrage them with how they are doing nothing about.

Couldn't DICE just add the menu option to switch to the 'classic' scoreboard? That way the super casual players would still have the 'benefits' of the new design (although I honestly think that not a single person benefits from that thing) and everyone else could just switch. It could be like the quick grenade throw. Yes, it's stupid that it isn't enabled by default but once you go through the trouble of finding the menu setting it's solved forever.
I don’t see it ever coming back.
Scoreboards are hurtful, and we cannot have this.

I am laughing only because I am sure you intended that as a joke.
Does anyone really think that way? There are winners and losers in life. Deal with it.
DICE does. Don't want to hurt any feelings so hide all information from the player
I can understand why the score was removed, given the other decisions, i imagine it didn’t fit in with the narrative of the game they envisaged.
I honestly don’t think it’s because of cheaters, or feelings of being rubbish, just simply not what they wanted.
sad fact though is it’s exactly how many (but admittedly not all) players get value and purpose out of the game.
I mean I see zero point In Playing 2042, there is zero reward, I don’t care about being the best medic or highest killer in my team, I care that our team played the objective and did better than everyone else on both sides, hence scoreboard. so I continue to play BF4.
I mean, it’s just not “my” battlefield.
Same!!! I go to battlefield 4 again. If no scoreboard, this is not battlefield

Well it has a reason why this game is in the top 10 "Hall of Shame" Games lol

So you want to replace bullets with cotton balls too, because people could feel offended when someone is shooting at them, right?
