The old scoreboard
Please bring back the old scoreboard showing kills, deaths, score, ping etc of all people in the server. The new one is too messy, unclear and doesn't show me useful information or just too little in...

It would actually be very very helpful to Portal Game Creators if we/admin team at least had access to the full scoreboard, especially the ping rate for all connected players! As we absolutely need to have a tool to weed out the high pingers causing server lag, rubber banding, bullet sponging.
Next, I would still also vote to get the AI soldier scores on the scoreboard. How otherwise are we to figure out how best to utilize them? Meaning if we see that they constantly are too stupid to be of any use in the game, then we need to boost their IQ level in our server settings. Same as well if we see they go full T-1000 Rambo style and eradicate all human enemy players again and again, then we need to turn down their competency level just a bit.
We also need it matter of fact to throttle how many AI soldiers we truly should allow on and how many we factually have on our server at any given point of time. As personally I would favor running my own servers with as many real human players as possible and only use the AI soldiers to get it kickstarted from when empty. But we need then the visibility to the scoreboard to see how many we have live on the server. Again also to finetune our server settings to facilitate server startup but also to eliminate the AI soldiers as soon as we can please.

I would say one of the main reasons this game is dying is because there is no scoreboard or stats. And there reasons for taking it away are ridiculous! Oh we don't want peoples feelings hurt. Well go ahead and hang your participation trophy on the wall and cry about how you still live in your moms basement. GET BETTER AT THE GAME THAN. I get 70 kill matches and they give a leaderboard spot to the guy throwing proxy grenades all game. CHANGE IT AND PLAYERS WILL COMEBACK
They will. I give it the next couple of patches and it shows back up
I have said 8t before, why is it just Battlefield that has the scoreboard taken away. Why does other EA games like madden or fifa have a scoreboard yet BF doesn't?
its funny the don't want to hurt peoples feelings , but they are forcing console players to play with pc players and getting destroyed by them .
a PVP shooter game with no scoreboard is a stupid decision .
I really don't think the hurt feelings are anything to do with the rubbish scoreboard we have now. It still shows enough to see where the rubbish players, or the good players anyway, are. It still needs a proper one though. And a real squad screen which is a far far bigger issue.
- And it would also bring many NEW players into the game.
Played the free weekend of Vanguard,they did the participation award thing where you could win best grenade thrower but flicking a shoulder button got you a look at the scoreboard.
So if your feeling a bit emotional, bless you but don't switch to the scoreboard.
@elliott316Could you, or anyone else for that matter, link the article from DICE that explains why there is no 'traditional' scoreboard?
Whilst it would be nice to have, I just can't fathom why the lack of a scoreboard is so 'gamebreaking', do you need your egos stroking that much?
And INB4 "but cheaters...", really? Do you really NEED a scoreboard to identify them? Getting repeatedly domed from strange angles would be enough of clue but hey.....The fact that BF5 has more active players right now is enough proof that a not having a scoreboard breaks the game. Also the game is already half off less than 2 months into release. Dice is hurting for it

Battlefield is a Team based Action shooter with some tactical elements, wining the round as a team is in my opinion more important than the statistics behind it.Did you know that bfv has a server browser, classes, weapon variety, leaning/peeking, voicelines that make sense, a scoreboard and also VOIP. I heard it wasn't a hero shooter either.
Shame that those features must be impossible to implement because...well....hmmm; can't think of a reason why 2042 doesn't have those things. Strange

Hatred of one game does not mean another game is beloved. Both can be hated at once. I don't much care for BFV, but as mentioned it had really good things that 2042 straight up does not have.
I don't like bfv for reasons that are different from 2042.
From your posts on this forum it seems that you are bending over backwards to defend this product that is in many ways steps backwards from previous games.

I heard it wasn't a hero shooter either. they used to call Assualt class 'Action Man', close enough.

Scoreboard is only 1 of too many things missing. Squads are also too small for an "All Out War" game... 5 or 6 man squad makes more sense... Even if class system comes back we need something done about these dumb "Heroes" and the stupid things we are forced to listen to after every match...

2. Again, not true. Regardless, if we look at 2042, do you think having 2 lmgs and two pistols is acceptable?
3. The setting of bfv is not historically accurate, which is fine. the voicelines for the women make sense for the setting that DICE made
4. viewing the scoreboard was entirely optional. It is a basic feature of many many FPS games and it displays incompetence that DICE didn't include one
5. VOIP is more important than ever now with Hazard Zone as one of the three main game modes. Again another basic feature of many many FPS games that displays incompetence on DICE's part
6. Hero shooter typically describes games where one character and one character only has access to abilities that others do not. Classes were not that because those characters could be entirely different in appearance (i.e having a different face model) and also did not have their own personalities. They were nameless blank slates

I don't miss the scoreboard, but I do miss a Battlelog-style website.
There's like 12 of you of guys defending dice for not putting a scoreboard in the game proabably cause you guys don't get alot of kills. But guess where me and the other dudes like to be on the objectives because that's where I can kill 50 dudes. Guess how you make the game longer if you playing breakthrough? Oh yeah take OBJs. There is no valid reason to leave out a scoreboard. These garbage snowflakes get there 8 kills a game hidden so you can't kick them. And you can't even kick people uhhhhh garbage sqaudmates 🙄🙄
Viewing the scoreboard was also entirely optional in previous games. There's no justification for the removal of the scoreboard in 2042
- @lukeisnotbeast I don't get a high number of kills usually but they must restore the scoreboard, self promoting to squad leader through ignored order request from an inactive squad leader, and cross team chatting. No excuse not to. As well as underwater swimming.
