- My biggest painful moment was the fact that Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront II died for this. Both having potential to redeem themselves but look at what we got instead especially at release. It also getting worse when looking at Q3FY22 Prepared Remark from EA website that said “Through our processes for testing and preparation, we believed the experience was ready to be put into our players’ hands.”. The standard really need to be so low to allow something like that as full release. I stuck at matchmaking loop for like a month.
- I curious what will be like if Battlefield release it as early access title and let the community and developer experiment with their idea.
- I also think there’s something wrong with those who represent the community or get sponsored by EA. The people who actually play the game just sitting there waiting for the patch while those who move to other games keep getting money from EA to only play for a few hours. Not to mention the internal tester that happen before launch and for some reason don’t see the problem that lying there.
- The soundtrack, while it’s up to people preference, seems to be clear that it’s not as good as Battlefield 1/V or even Battlefield 3/4 that closer to the same genre. It’s too experimental and have no place to shine on. It’s great when you listen in quiet place and focus on it but the problem is…Battlefield is a loud game with constant gun fire and action. The distorting world doesn’t need to sound like this. It need to be louder and more dramatic. The launch one probably work with horror game more and it took until around Season 3 for main menu and music theme when playing start to get it right. Also lack of traditional sound on some location. It’s basic trick to use the sound or instrument from that location to give player a feeling that where they’re fighting. (Also happen with Pacific maps from Battlefield V for Japanese team) I was very disappoint we don’t get Sitar and Tanpura in Indian map like Discarded and instead we got some generic soundtrack that feel the same on every maps. Look at this for example (example 1, example 2 and example 3 and all three give the vibe of the Middle East or this one sound Spanish influence to me) but 2042 doesn’t use this despite having a location around the world.
- It probably sound stupid and unrelated but the flag (the actual flag (I mean the US and Russian one)) look too small to me. I get that some objectives are part of bigger sector but what we have in the game is too small.
- Although I mention Battlefield V a lot, there’re something that I don’t miss it like Full-on Attrition, Lengthy animation (ironic that the takedown in 2042 suffer from this) and MMG/Anti-Material Rifle bipod mechanic to name a few.
- I like the theme of Battlefield 1 and V that show the horror of war and also having anti-war message to the player. Definitely better than whatever that is “What a time to be alive” or “War is fun”.
- Frostbite need to step their game up in many areas. Lately their reputation seems to getting “tarnish”. I think it’s time for some real innovation. As many other games start to catch up from visual to gameplay.
- I don’t think locking lore behind paid Player Card is a right thing.
- Sometimes I hate clan stacking, open the scoreboard and see them knowing that we’re losing at the start of the match but at the same time I also know that put them in separate matchmaking will make them never find a full server again lol.
- I hope developer is not being desperate and try to copy everything (poorly) from Call of Duty like how it was back at launch. This also extend to Delta Force.
- Imagine still making a Battle Royale mode in 2025 lol. Come on. Do we really need it? Although I adore Firestorm and Halvøy and if I really need to play Battle Royale, I probably go play Firestorm. I still don’t want to see it. I need all the resources to make the core game as solid as possible and maybe the team branching out later if we have time.
Now, That's all for me. Thanks for reading!

LOL - Shows you just how out of touch they are and how little attention they pay to the player community. All that "best Battlefield ever" rhetoric is old news now - we heard it all before 2042 and look what happened. Don't believe the hype - do not pre-order.

But I dont think we are....like you are hinting at. I dont like the sound of that.
I mean make a fancy trailer but we better see Gameplay.
Also I wish they would listen to the community and not streamers

A fancy trailer would be nice for a start though.
