Tips for better team play
These are just my opinions and observations but feel free to flame on or comment or suggest. But here we go, my list of "tips to make you a better team player" in BF2042 1. Always remember you are o...

Yeah I agree that squad chat is a help and needs to be made use of more regularly.
I don't think the teamwork problem in Battlefield has ever been about people not knowing what to do.
I think the problem is that people just don't want to. Or more precisely people are simply unwilling to make any sacrifices to their preferred playstyle in the name of teamwork.
The sniper on the hill would probably love if he had a medic standing by, an Angel feeding him bullets and someone on SOFLAM painting targets. But that same sniper wouldn't risk leaving his perch to revive a downed ally 30m away.
I think we first have to accept that the majority of the playerbase is unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary for teamwork. No amount of teaching or pleading will change that.
For everybody else that desires teamwork and willing to make the sacrifices I'd like to see DICE introduce some sort of feature that prioritizes pairing these sorts of players together. Just randomly tossing people into squads seems like a missed opportunity.
I started playing "Hell Let Loose" a couple of weeks ago and it's a far better tactical and strategic game.
It's what Battlefield should have evolved into if they had stayed on track after Battlefield 2.
Instead they tried (and failed) to copy the COD playbook and got stuck in the mud somewhere in the middle.
Wonder if they'll try to wind it back or double down on the twitchy slidey dead-in-a-quarter-second COD clone recipe.
DICE devs might want to start preparing their resumes if that's the directive they get from EA because another fail release like the current title will likely see the end of DICE altogether.

@AngrySquid270 Exactly right! I think a lot of it has to do with the scoring system, however, you're still going to have the "I'm not leaving the comfy confines of my perch" people. The problem is, like @Kaptyn027 said, they lean way too heavily toward another title's playstyle now. Running, jumping, slide canceling everywhere, constant bunny hopping the whole time, soldier speed increase. It's rediculous. Remember in BF when jumping took your hand off the weapon? Remember when mantling took your hand off your weapon? Remember when sprinting had a penalty at the end? Remember when you could NOT bunny hop? Now pay attention to your team and you'll see 31 players sprinting at full speed, hopping their heads off and slide cancelling all over the place. This is more another shooter than BF now. You may as well take CQ and BT off the playlist and make everything TDM.
