Crazy title right? Aside from my ridiculous/hyperbolis title here I dont think ive once seen someone say something like this but yet the people who are happy with the game cant seem to understand why we who are not, express our frustration or dislike. They even condemn us for it. Why? Just because someone has a differing opinion to you, doesnt mean its irrelevant. We can disagree while remaining civil, is the point I think I want to make here. Were all here for the same reason, because we like battlefield. I know a small minority want to watch the whole franchise burn to the ground but the majority of us expressing our dislike only want to see battlefield improved. These improvements (should they ever come) would also benefit the people who already love the game. Think about it, if any of the "lacking legacy features" were to be implemented, would that make the game any worse? I dont think so. So again, lets all get along and try to make this game good for everyone, not just the people who are happy with "how it is".Just some thoughts...

There is a huge difference between constructive criticism and being downright toxic and it would appear many people can't distinguish where that line is.I've seen a bunch of people rally to defend the game and provide some great feedback which is a nice breath of fresh air - We all need to work with the devs in order to find that sweet spot

As it is, I don't participate as much as I would like simply because there isn't much value I see I can add. ....but I do what I can to answer questions, add my two cents when I see a conversation is constructive, etc. There is a lot I don't like about BF2042 and some of what I do (which is really only Portal to be honest). Everyone is entitled to their opinion of the game good or bad but how abut we keep it about the game, the companies vision, design choices, etc. instead of about each other. If there is something offensive posted against the forum rules, report it. ....easy, peasy. Folks are either above all of this toxic stuff they complain about or they're part of the problem. Adding to useless threads only kicks them back up to the top and fuels more responses / reactions. This is rare for me as I don't like participating in these types of discussions as it's usually a waste of time, but with everyone here talking about talking about civility and rationality, what the heck. I'll bite this one time.....anyhow, that's all I have to say about it. I wish I found this forum more useful as well but from where I sit, there is a lot of blame to be spread around for it's current state. It's not all one-sided. Respect is a two way street.

I've seen a bunch of people rally to defend the game and provide some great feedback which is a nice breath of fresh air - We all need to work with the devs in order to find that sweet spot

When all you see is DICE sucks or I hate DICE or I WANT A REFUND topics it gets old after a while. I get it you don't like the game but why not go into detail about why you don't like the game People who do like the game get just as much flak from the ones that don't like the game here so it goes both ways. I was hoping this would be the place to talk about the game in a civilized manner but I am afraid I was wrong.

i don't understand all the energy people put into complaining about a game they don't like. if i don't like a game i just forget about it even if i bought it and wanted it to be good.

It's 100% possible for us all to have great conversations about the game, and in all fairness there is a lot of that going on here too, but sometimes passion can get in the way. After all, provided that people are keeping to the rules of course, everyone is welcome to post here and share their thoughts, feedback, complaints and so on.

I actually do like 2042 for the most part (I've got niggles still and I'm happy to share those), I've even made peace with the specialists, but I see the value in listening to the feedback from people who don't. Sure I don't always agree with what's being said, or I might not deem it a massive issue personally, but I'll either leave them alone (usually the fire-and-forget 'Dice/EA bad' ones as there's usually a lack of useful feedback) or try to have a chat about it and hopefully understand where they're coming from.

Of the 4.2M units sold, it appears that 18K people still like the game enough to play it, so yea, positivity! But you'll have to excuse the other 99.96% for being a little tetchy about the game...

I think you make a lot of good points there.
I agree with you when you say many true Battlefield fans have been very disappointed with BF2042 and this is very apparent when you read these forums.
Yes a minority of posts are indeed toxic but there are also many very detailed posts spelling out why people are unhappy and suggestions on how things could be improved.
Anyone who has read my posts on here will know I want one of the legacy features to be brought back. The Server Browser.
Personally I think it would improve BF2042 and reduce the levels of frustration for many players who are not happy with MM.
And as you say, I personally don't think it would make the game experience any worse for those players who are currently content with MM but it would make life a lot less frustrating for me and many others.
Totally agree with your sentiment of trying to get along and together make BF2042 better for everyone to enjoy.
Better to have a win win than the game going down the pan.

@CPU_UK 18k people play it 24/7 right? it isn't a bunch of people logging in to play when they feel like playing but not all the same people at the same time?

@Psubond Fair comment for sure (3x timezones of 18K users?), but the current numbers are 1/5 the average November figures, so obviously there are more people NOT playing (who could) than those playing. I stopped playing on Saturday night when I found myself with 127 bots in Conquest.
