Trying to play with Friends on BF2042

Hello everyone

Today I got a few friends to jump on 2042 with me. All PSN players, some on PS4, some on PS5... but we couldn't all find each other in the game.

We tried Social PSN IDs, but our names didn't come up under Playstation Network Online list. Our names didn't show under EA Friends list either. We tried searching our EA IDs to invite each other, but no players matched the search criteria. We tried searching for the same server names, and experience names but different matches would come up for us. We all had cross play on. We were all showing online in playstation settings.

I made a custom experience and passed the code. They were all able to find it, and host it, but it wouldn't come up on search after one of us was hosting it so none of us were able to join.

After about 15 to 20 minutes worth of searching the internet for answers we jumped on cod... we all show up on cod social.

I hope the social feature gets polished in the future. For now, if anyone has any idea on how to find and add friends in 2042, apart from what I've tried so far, I would appreciate it.

@NewYorkGameflow PS4 and PS5 aren't crossplay compatible.

We have the exact same issue my wife and I both play on ps5 both have the ps5 version of battlefield 2042, can't get the social to recognise either of us as you've stated. I was just wondering if you've come across any way to resolve it? I've tried everything I know to get this one up and running, yet every type of call of duty works no problem. I was told if you turn off cross play then reboot and restart, then turn crossplay back on it sometimes works and populates the psn list. A freind of mine who plays battlefield 2042 swears it worked for himself and his brother I'll be giving that a go tomorrow hopfully that fixes your issue too

Can you please post the link that highlights this issue as I stated a few minutes ago my wife and I are experiencing the same issue, we both play on ps5 with the most recent updates however even when I try and find either of us using our ea accounts nothing comes up. Like wise the same for our psn shows 0 I also have 4 freinds who play on ps5 and they're not showing either, any info would be greatly appreciated.

@CBush101 Have you made absolutely sure that you're both running the same version of the game, and one of you isn't running the last gen version instead?
