Thank you everyone for your input on this problem.
I was eventually able to get into a multiplayer game by going to the local portal game and asking everyone to try and get a multiplayer game and it worked but everyone is having the same problem and have never been able to get a game in HardZone or 64 player maps. It seems only enough players around to get multiplayer conquest large game working between 19:00 and 22:00 in the evening so a large number of players are needed.
I could see so many players joining the "Waiting For Players To Join" page then giving up and leaving to play another game. This problem is making BF2024 lose players at a rapid rate.
Will this problem be addressed in a patch?
I am in South Africa and we do have local servers but are stuck with "Waiting For Players To Join"!!
COD MW 2019 you can find an instant game with no waiting any time of the day and should on the odd occasion the local players not be enough then it moves you to an EU server game with a 64 or 120ping and the game still plays perfectly.
Why doesn't EA DICE move the players searching for a game to the EU or US servers when there are not enough players locally? This would open up the game to many other countries with a small number of players.
The server browser in BF4 is nice as we can join overseas games as long as the ping is low otherwise you get kicked.
I love BF2042 when I can get a multiplayer game, but it was more fun before they nerfed the Ranger and everything else at patch 3.1. I love the co-op single player against AI but you have to play multiplayer to get weekly challenges and not enough AI fly or drive. I loved it when Ranger would take out the hiding snipers.
