I get you bro. I've been playing BF for a while. However, this is not how vehicles and maps worked in previous BF titles. In previous titles of the franchise, infantry was able to move and defend against vehicles. Yes, you would get killed but not constantly, by the same dude, in the same helicopter/tank that you just destroyed 30 seconds ago.

For me its the Air vehicles and lack of balance that ruins the game,
cant drive anywhere for AGM or fly anywhere for the nightbird minigun (dont do jets)
player base are so low on PS5 now its the same "try hard" pilots every night nukeing the map.
few rounds of this and the server slowly dies with more bots
played this game every day seens launch but guit a week ago, just not fun anymore constanly running stinger or trying to outgun a nightbird in the air and when you shoot one down
all it takes is 1-2min and guess whos back in action..
Found myselv trying TDM lastnight for like 5 rounds, that quickly got old with no scoreboardon one hand it's nice when the jets are flying around because they really can't do anything to infantry but i also *really* enjoy hunting helos and ground vehicles. which the jets completely ruin for me. the only way i have found to shoot down jets is to keep shooting stingers each pass and hope they screw up by turning too tightly and staying in range or if you get a hit and they can't pull out of their dive in time and crash after the missile hits (if they don't just flare it)

I take it most everyone that is posting in this thread has never played BF2?
- jicoteaepileptk4 years agoNot applicable@CantGetRight Bro, have you even read your reply? Battlefield consists of vehicles and infantry. You are basically saying that infantry should not be part of Conquest? All I am saying is that the vehicles are too OP and that it completely breaks the balance that makes the game fun.
- Psubond4 years agoLegend@CantGetRight 20 years ago. forgive me if my memories are a little fuzzy. i like vehicles though. gives me something to turn into a smoking hole in the ground
- CantGetRight4 years agoNot applicable@JicoteaEpilepTK No, I am saying that it was this way in BF2. The vehicles were OP in it as well but people still played it. And when Metro and Locker came along it soften the BF community. 2042 restores BF to what it once was. In fact, 2042 has way more ways to take out air/ground vehicles than BF2 ever had.

The LATV4 is not a vehicle I'd choose for sustained combat - you get shot out much too easily. Jeeps tend to be used and dumped for this reason.
I wouldn't call in any other vehicle if I intended to jump out. I suspect you probably don't hang around in jeeps too long either.
Taking the enemy's LATV4 reduces their team's ability to spawn a bolte or hovercraft by 1. However I've seen plenty of people abandon Bolte's and hovercrafts once they reach an objective.

I think with ground vehicles, at least, there has never been a BF game with more options for using teamwork to take them out. 2 or 3 people working together can easily lock them down in an area if they work together even a little. Sundance has great mobility and can use grenades/C4 to disable/kill land vehicles (except her anti-armor grenades are bugged), Casper can harass them with his drone (except if you do this, there is a > 50% chance you won't be able to ADS after you leave the drone view), and Rao can hack them. There just isn't a lot of incentive to do this (no assists for killing vehicles) and the lack of voip can make it difficult.
The fact that the slow-loading M5 does relatively minor damage and has limited ammo against vehicles with great mobility and unlimited ammo doesn't help. Nor does the lack of cover - and the limited cover often actively injuring you - compared the fact that a nightbird can just pop flares and fly away any time it is threatened.
Ultimately, I think with a few changes to cooldowns and reload times, this is one of the more fixable aspects of the game.

The only people that don’t have an issue with this are the people that use the vehicles lol.
Theres a reason why complaints by drivers and pilots are scarce and thats because the balance is well and truly in their favour and they know it!
