Vehicle nerfs
So after the next patch 20mm and 30mm explosive rounds take forever to kill infantry? Why didn't you take away the term "Soldier killer" as well in the vehicle information tabs? The attack helicopte...

What am i reading now?
''Further balance changes to Ground Vehicle 30mm, 40mm, and 57mm Cannons to reduce their effectiveness against infantry''
What is this stop nerfing vehicles with the term ''Soldier killer''
To how many crybabies are you listening?
5% of the people who only play on a weekend?
@JoayubiAre these nerfs to transport vehicles fire-power.
I haven't spent much time using them so have no idea about 30, 40 and 57mm cannons.
The nerf clearly needed to happen - infantry is getting absolutley shredded out there. The cannons aren't becoming obsolete though, the list showed just a slight reduction: they'll remain powerful but will be more balanced

Having 5x the TTK on vehicle gunner heavy weapons as SMG's or DMR's have is not balanced. Just about every vehicle, including tanks are fairly vulnerable when you take into consideration how big a target they are and that the sparse cover on most maps affects them as much as it does infantry. Infantry can at least duck behind rocks or go in the few scattered buildings, Tanks don't fit in most buildings in 2042 like they did in BF4 if they need to hide from Heli's. And if a Heli needs to hide they have to fly to the very edges of most maps to find any cover at all.
What they need to do is fix the dangs maps so they're not 75% flat open field. If infantry didn't have to spend so much time completely exposed and had adequate cover to play hide and seek with vehicles then the vehicles could hit as hard as they really should without being constantly oppressive. Plus ground and air vehicle play would be way more tactical and fun if they can surprise each other and hide when in trouble.
Discarded and Manifest are done pretty well and I always feel I can make my way from one objective to another with lot's of cover between for the most part. That's how all the maps should feel for infantry. If they did there would be much less outcry about getting farmed by vehicles.
It feels like they want to pull in the CoD crowd so they're turning the vehicle play into a gimmick. Like the vehicles are only there so people can make video clips of blowing them up to get multi kills.
I'm a damn good tank driver in BF4 and still do pretty well in 2042 but my gunner seats sit unmanned because people are afraid to get in. Tanks are huge targets, easy to see and hit, have almost no hiding places on most maps and have to deal with so many threats only very skilled drivers have a chance to live longer than a few seconds in them while trying to PTFO.
When I drive the Bolte I have a gunner maybe 20% of the time because the huge front window provides zero damage reduction to small arms fire. The attack heli's are so weak and vulnerable I get a gunner even less % of the time.
Taking a transport aircraft anywhere close enough to a capture point for its weapons to be effective is just asking for a barrage of AA and M5 as well as Super Sundances flying across the map to C5 you.
When people post videos of killing large amounts of people in vehicles they're bragging "look how cool and skilled I am" and then when those same people and a couple of friends get killed by a vehicle they post a video of it saying "look how OP such and such is" so the Devs nerf such and such.
honestly they need to bring back the wrench to repair instead of self repair and ammo station too, vehicules are way too easy mode right now and just shred everything
I hear u. The problem is also that the gunner weapons in tanks are useless! The .50 cal does less damage than a bb gun. U have to headshot people with it for them to die.
The volley grenades are totally unpredictable and dont get me started om the gunner shotgun. That thing dont kill a bunny at 5 feet.
I loved playing tank gunner in other BF games, because u could really help a tank driver.
In 2042 i just end up feelin useless in the gunner seat.
