I really hope the number of vehicles per match will be increased, I'm not getting a single chance to fly an attack heli or drive a tank, and when I do I get destroyed by ATs immediately.And another thing please separate Light tanks from Main battle tanks, and jets from attack helis.The game is getting better and better and I beleive this is what we need the most right now as BF vets.I miss BF4 days when we had a dog fight in the sky, tank battles in the ground and infantry trying so hard to take flags with the assist of attack helis.We need at least 2 Light tanks, 3 Main battle tanks, 2 jets and 2 attack helis,and I also beleive that 1 Transport (Condor, MI...) is enough instead of 2 just like in the image below :Cheers.

I never had a problem with the thermal optics or the number of vehicles in BF4 and tbis game definitely needs more vehicles in-game both in the air and on the ground.Battlefield is supposed to be a mix of infantry AND vehicle combatThey need to balance the vehicles better is the main problem (looking at you transports and stealth heli) but there should be more vehicles available.This game got off on the wrong foot with the OP vehicle vs. infantry gameplay, and the hair-brained way of spawning IN vehicles instead of just having them spawn at home-base and capture points like in previous BF titles.The call-in system isn't a great idea either and should be limited to the robo-doggie and light vehicles or maybe even a portable ammo/armor/heal station.

@Tank2042ManI feel we need more vehicles because I almost never find one available.How is more infantry players good for the vehicles? If anything there are more sources of rockets, missiles, grenades and C5 to keep track off.

@cso7777 I was never much of a pilot so I can't really speak to that, occasionally you might run into a pilot who could make you and your team's life miserable, but in my experience, it is pretty rare.I have done a ton of ground-pounding in BF4 (infantry and vehicles), I think it is balanced pretty well and I think they pretty well nailed infantry vs. vehicle combat. Like I said the thermals don't bother me none, and I have never run across a tank or LAV that I couldn't deal with as a ground-pounder.As far as BF4 tanks vs. BF2042 tanks, I think the 2042 tanks are just awful handling-wise, too floaty like they have no weight to them at all (they bounce and catch air all the time), and the turret speed is way to slow, not to mention they can get hung up on the stupidest stuff. I also think the extra seats are a waste especially the "spotter" position on top, if it was up to me, I would reduce the seats to two and let the secondary seat cycle through the different weapons available. Plus, it sucks when some random pub jumps into one of the extra seats and just randomly shoots stuff like the mortar that obscures your view and alerts the enemy that you're coming.BF4 definitely had some great maps though, can't argue with that one bit, and I still play it pretty regularly myself. Probably my second favorite Battlefield after BF2142 which I can't play anymore. 😞

@Ironhead841Totally agree that the previous spawn method used in earlier BF's worked a lot better.

instead of just having "more vehicles" can we try having smarter vehicle pools...For Example instead of grouping MBTs, Wildcat, Bolte and RAM into one category DICE could make the MBTs and WIldcat two seperate options with one each as well as group the RAm and Bolte into a APC category. Same applies to helis and jets really. Instead jets should have a seperate category with one dedicated slot as well. now you have The wildcat countering helis and APCs at all times on the map, jets countering helis and other jets, helis countering infantry and MBTs, MBTs countering Wildcat, APCs and other MBTs....you know so you do not get maps where 2-3 stealth choppers just ruin the match for the rest....

We need more vehicles per round please !

As a tank main I'm ok with the number of vehicles for 128 player.
With double the number of infantry players, vehicles can wreak havoc on them on big maps.
I was in a RAM on Orbital last night and we crushed infantry for 5 minutes straight. Just driving into groups of enemies and creating mayhem.
I can't imagine adding more to the mix.
More tanks would also be an issue due to taking a good 4 or 5 rockets to kill one and I like the fact that poor tankers who push too far get annihilated fast.
When I'm tanking or playing infantry I never think we need more vehicles. It seems fine to me.

I will have to disagree with the OP.
Depending on what mode and map they are thinking of, as it isn't mentioned, vehicle numbers seem ok as is.
Just because someone is piloting/driving a vehicle doesn't mean they won't be starting their campfire BBQ all the way back in their spawn. Or indeed dropping stealth bombs from 2k ft all match.
Let's be honest, that's what's gonna happen

@Hunter45Killer I think they need to just unlock all of them at one time. “And you get a tank, and you get a tank, and you get a tank!” Along with that, let the ground pounders carry unlimited AA and Recoiless ammo.

@Hunter45Killer Simple answer. Map design was better. If you play Exodus you will get portal maps with more vehicles, yet vehicle/infantry balance is much better there than in the vanilla maps.

This is also a hot tip for you. Play exodus when its available and you will have 4 maps in that rotation with 2-3x amount of vehicles. This is basically the map types you are referring to when mentioning bf3 and bf4.

Also if you like to have some steady action instead of the running simulator this is the place to go. Portal 32v32 feels much more like an all out war than the 64v64 mess we have on most of the new maps.

Vehicles in BF4 are pretty overpowered (thermal optics on vehicles are a total joke), but infantry often have a chance of avoiding vehicles and that comes down to map-design.

Exodus would be improved with less air-vehicles, some of the maps are too small for the number of helis.

@Ironhead841I find it funny that people complained about pilots going 80-3 in BF2042 when this is normal in BF4. The air-vehicles of BF4 needs more skill than in 2042, but BF4 helis are overpowered when used by a good pilot/squad (Little-Bird with engineers and repair-tools are really nasty).

Tanks(/lavs etc) in BF4 are more powerful than in 2042, with thermals and extreme speeds (turrets, acceleration etc). Tanks in 2042 seems like they are ok.

But BF4 has lots of infantry-farming by vehicles and is not really well balanced.

Dice has never really been able to balance vehicles perfectly, and I don't know how they should do it right.

But the older games had way better maps which is the biggest issue with 2042. The maps are in general way to open and infantry has to move large distances without cover.

I still play BF4 and find it the best BF-game in 'recent times' (probably best ever) no matter what problems the game has, it is fun to play unlike 2042.
