Opening this thread in hopes DICE and team takes a look and maybe gathers a few firearms/optics for consideration into the game or a further update. I am a real life firearms instructor and enthusiast so I'd like to see some of the modern advancements make it into the game (licensed logos or not), as opposed to developer created look a-likes. I included links for the folks who won't know wtf this is by name but might recognize it from games, movies, or pewpew. GUNS:I think I speak for many when I say the Galil ACE was a hit in BF4. Id like to see that return but with the ACE39 Variant, which is the 7.62x39 AK47 round-toting variant.There's a GEN2 ACE which was just released; don't halfass it. Give us both. IN ALL CALIBERS AND LENGTHS (7.62x39 is surging in popularity right now, don't miss this by limiting it to 556/308/545. Also, we'd like both rifle and SBR versions I think)In addition to that, I want to see a few funds from B&T especially since they've recently won a few contracts. Namely the APC9/45, APC223 and APC308.Oh and the Staccato P Pistol. Solid suggestions. Created an account just to comment that leaving out the 7.62 ACE in Battlefield 4 was a let down. I don't know much about any of the optics you listed but I remember the sheer customization variety in Battlefield 4 being one of my favorite parts of the game, so I hope they add all those you listed and more.

* i didnt even consider the NGSWs. It'd be cool to be able to unlock the other contenders from Textron and General Dynamics, too. If they added those as the reward for some specific challenge I'd be happy. I need as many guns as possible, One of the lowest points of the newer BF games was the lack of guns/ slow trickle of guns over seasons. I want more than I can possibly use.

@TasharaFus here is to hoping we also see the M60 E6, the Sig NGSW-AR, and the NGSW-R. Plus dozens of other new and improved weapons that have been designed and tested.

I think some Leopold optics for sniper and the new 6.8 rounds for lmg and carbine/assault be nice with sniper in 6.5

Weapons and Optics: Suggestions from a Real-Life user

I'm not positive but I thought I saw a Leupold hybrid style in the trailer, those are a must have

If they don't add the 6.8SPC it'll be a letdown. And with all the talk of caliber conversion, I think I can see them giving you 308, 6.5, and maybe 338 Lapua 🤔

I think some AR suggestions that were both classic and prolific in some variants and would be great in Battlefield 2042 (and were great in BF3 and BF BC2) are the Hk rollerlocks; how awesome and rare would it be to have an Hk G41 available to us in a videogame? The Hk G3 type rifles are firearms fan favorites, and are available in a bunch of different calibers, adding a sense of modularity to them (Hk G41, Hk33, Hk53 in 5.56x45; Hk32, Hk52 in 7.62×39; Hk G3 in 7.62x51/.308), rather than simply being stuck with the MP5 in 9mm. @TasharaFusJust based on the currently released information / screens / gameplay, we will see a big, full selection of modern weapons, just with later version nomenclature tacked onto them, like the “M5A1”, to make them seem / sound futuristic.

The chosen setting should also give EA DICE some creative liberty to design optics and attachments that already exist without violating IP rights, while also creating near-future attachments as well.

Having real-world partnerships with gun / optic makers would be great, but I am sure that would also risk offending the more politically correct types as it relates to gun rights, so I am sure EA DICE will just choose to dodge that issue entirely.

@carsono311This is the problem with threads like this from 'real world users', they have no idea about 'real world licensing laws' and potential associated costs and litigation.
