weapons need to be locked into classes

If the devs are going to try to go back to classes the weapons need to be locked to classes as well.  This frankenstein class system is not what the community was asking for and if classes are going to be done it needs to be done with weapons as well

@Tank2042Man The rocket is restricted to only 4 specialists now. Of course people that want to use rockets are going to always pick one of them instead of another character. This is what was happening in previous Battlefield games as well.

What is next? Restricting how many of the same specialist or class can be in each squad?
  • @Psubond Why? I don't understand what the benefit of that would be.

I'm annoyed with the introduction of Classes as well, but let's not encourage them to completely turn the game into something even more restrictive.

Personally I didn't like this last patch, not really because of the new "Class" system, but more so because they didn't balance the game in a way that made sense to me. There was also a lot of stealth changes that really effected how the game mechanics feel that I don't really like.

@RaginSam because people were crying for classes so they should do it all the way. If it is appropriate to lock gadgets it is appropriate to lock guns because guns were always tied to classes and they should be now as well

@Psubond It's also something I've always disliked about Battlefield games. It never made any sense. Besides "that's how it's always been done", what would be the point? How would it improve the game? I don't see any benefit or improvement to the game in doing that.

I also don't like the weapon perks being tied to certain Classes. Overall, they're pretty minor, but I still don't like the concept of it.

Why do you want this change? Please explain, because I really don't understand this point of view. Feels a little scorched Earth lol. I didn't like this last patch either.

@RaginSam If they want classes, give it to them lock stock and barrel. Make them live with their demands

I still want to enjoy the game at some point. Personally, I've been taking a break from 2042 and started playing Apex again instead. I'm only one person, but I want Steamcharts to reflect how this last Patch was a mistake.

You know what?  This is probably what the newer Battlefield developers that worked on this game were thinking too.  Which is part of the reason why they originally changed it.

Battlefield has been my favorite multiplayer series since Bad Company, and I have never liked the weapon and class restrictions either.  I just tolerated them because of my enjoyment of the overall games that I was playing.

@RaginSam i don't think that class proponents should get to pick and choose which pieces of it they get. either give me back the game i bought or go whole hog and do the class system as it has been in the past so the purists can live with what they asked for.
