- AOD_Rancidx5 years agoRising Adventurer@skates15 Large maps, sound design, and destruction produce a cinematic like experience. I have a hard time playing other military shooters without destruction. I Lol'd in the COD Vanguard reveal that "showcased" being able to knock out some glass blocks inside a building to shoot through
@skates15 well, if i look back at BF4 or any modern setting in general it'll be the freedom you actually have all around the game. ❤️
You can play different classes with access to many different weapons and gadgets that can fit any play style someone has. And so you even have many different attachments to all those weapons to adjust them fitting perfectly for you.
You have access to multiple Vehicles Land, Sea and Air. And you can destroy almost everything in Battlefield.
Having 64 (soon 128) players fighting on a huge map, is the real War as it's supposed to be.
Also the unique and completely different designed maps you can choose from and having that many different game modes available is dope.
Extra to that, much love goes to the awesome levolution events that can be triggered or just happen during the match that can completely change the environment and so the fight.
For me especially, a big shout out goes to the Team that spends also so much time beside there actual work to even add easter eggs (like the big ones) to the game. For example the whole Phantom Program from BF4 or Masterman EE form BF1 that actually unlocks you unique things.
All that stuff combined, makes Battlefield great for me.
There is something for everyone to enjoy! 🙂
That being said, i really look forward to Battlefield 2042 since Portal will give us even more freedom to enjoy and i think that will be the next level of Battlefield. 🙌

Its so many little things to list. To sum it up, its just a magical feeling about the whole experience.

I do enjoy sense of adventure when the game is new and I am exploring the maps and learning about the weapons, vehicles and rest of the kit.
- @skates15 I’d have to say it’s the fact that it has stayed interesting. I can play any other FPS, or many other genres in general, and find myself getting bored relatively easily. I never have that issue with Battlefield. I mean any map you will find a way to change things up and play a little differently to adapt to the other teams play style as well as cover and concealment.

I still find it impressive that i remember going into the very first game for som reason thinking it was a milsim, and was a bushwookie/tried to treat it as "real" as possible for a few days before realizing a slightly more arcade approach to how i played might be a good idea.
Always fun (in a non-mocking way) to watch new people try the franchise and recognize the ones thinking it's arma with better graphics.
Aside from that, I'd just echo what Gruntbrews said, it's always managed to keep me interested, and though 5 and to a lesser degree 1 waned that interest somewhat, it still obviously had enough franchise credit left that as soon as 2042 was announced and the portal video dropped, it was an immediate "yes please":
(which i honestly hadn't expected after bf5)

Exactly me. I've never played anything else. BF1 was the best looking game ever, but never really warmed to it, and I could not resist the weekly grind with BFV which wore me down. Looking forward to more of a sandbox and cant wait to get my teeth into Portal. - EA_Atic5 years ago

The combinations of large scale battle and small scale micro battles across each map. @skates15
There are many factors why Battlefield stands out, what Battlefield does and show really stands out as shooter for me.
