@Tank2042Man BF3 was a gigantic success compared to BF2 and was the game that made the BF-franchise big (BF3 sold 5-6 times as many copies as BF2).
BF3 got a lot of new players to the BF-franchise and the BF2-players are a minority compared to the players of BF3.

@cso7777Were you even there when BF3 came out? Even if it did bring new players it is only because it came out for consoles as well. It might be considered a success today but it didn't start out that way.
