Although for now it looks like Battlefield 2042 will be one of the better titles in Battlefield series, what do you think is still preventing you from instant pre-ordering this game?
For me it is lack of some kind of offline mode.
@TerofishyI got a PS5, so either way, BF2042 represents the first true next generation multiplayer game for PS5 or Series X. I'm getting it if nothing else but for that reason. Plus 128 player battles...no one else is doing this in a standard game mode.

Both I played from the betas and launch.
Like I said in my previous post, the only real question is whether I bother with Gold or Ultimate given I prefer physical disk and there isn't one for those on PS5.
So I will likely end up with just the standard version, but I've seen nothing to keep me from pre-ordering so far.
I preordered straight away, I always do but I have cancelled them before and might do again as more infos coming out about the game.

now I’ve read that portal isn’t ranked to begin with. If that’s true than the novelty will wear off with that in the end.
seems bad choices after bad choices on what otherwise would be an amazing game.
What did you expect from EA? The unlimited game, which has the ultimate game mode where the rest of the world can stop making games because it will be handled in the future by portal users. Is not this too good to be true ...

Same here. Especially after they told us about the AI Soldiers and that we will be able to have up to 127 AI Soldiers with us in Portal and can even tweak their difficulty level.
I just hope and pray we can eventually play the Solo Bot Matches Offline before they stop updating the game.

They got everything so wrong, then mismanaged the entire live service so badly the players left and then they just cancelled everything.
It could happen again. I’ll wait and play the beta, then the trail via Game Pass Ultimate.
Back in the days before digital downloads, it was desirable to pre-order the physical disk. Out-of-stocks in-store were not unusual for AAA titles.
Pre-order 1 hour before the beta launch, or 1 hour before full game launch - it depends whether you want to play the beta, or not.
At this time, I plan to wait to see some gameplay/more details. However, if they launched the beta today, I would probably buy it immediately.
