I'm awaiting an announcement about Mouse & Keyboard support for PS5, if it doesn't supports it then I will not buy the game. My PC won't support it and I am not upgrading purely for BF2042.
chinese hack , they sell hack tools in game
Honestly I was willing to pre-order, it looks very good, but I'm extremely disappointed by the decision to make it "always online". This is the deal breaker for me.
No offline mode for the bots = no purchase. Not now, not ever.
I got burned too many times already by "always online" games. Either crappy performance by busy servers or poor routing, or being locked out at launch because of overwhelmed servers, or problems with my ISP with so many people working from home these days/
"Always online" games are just not worth it.
It's not fun being locked out of the game when the servers are very busy. I have limited spare time at my disposal.
Forced crossplay with PC.
Im thinking that Ill get myself old bf 2 again. I was looking today at mods and some say RUSmarines mod is the best, not sure if that one has 127 bot support already. And supposedly it has over 110 maps, I wonder if just versions for various player amount.
In bf 2 grass was almost nonexistent so identifying enemies wasnt so difficult compared to say bf4. Newer oversaturation with colors, unrealistic depiction of fire itself is also rather jarring. (not that the old one was flawless by any means, it was a solid game) Bullets dont fly like medieval arrows as in bf 4 in many cases. That mod looks rather funny mainly for SP I guess. I might actually download that old game. More clarity on screen, weapon selection menu better, since you know what equipment you have as a whole, not just push numbers to discover. No healing on its own or repairs, stamina for non-endless need for speed edition of infantry movement. I would not have expected myself to really ever go back to older or by today, ancient titles. Not dependent whether they patch the game or not. Bf2 was very fun infantry-wise, tanks were not bad I suppose. (2 hits to tracks tank explodes or 1 hit somewhere else I didnt find out) Flight physics pretty much identical to modern games, but I guess still better executed, even though not comparable to bf42/vietnam in the gravity regard. After trying bf 3 and 4, the last modern era ones, compared to bf 2, I dont feel like they are really comparable. When you were close that grenade spam was atrocious to be sure.
And I'm for real, I wont have to be bugged about new 2042 unless the game gives at least the features like 42 and 2 did.
In old bf 42, vietnam, 2 , 2142 I did not require to log in online at all, yes, I didnt get the nice weaponry, but mods took care of it anyway. Obstructions didnt work out well.
So, I might look from time to time whether EA delivered on their promises. If not ? Too bad. Here they are trying to build hype for the next big thing, while I will be doing the last great thing from 16 years ago :P I wont be dependant on EA after I give them money (by preordering) on whether they decide to deliver. What I know is that I will spare myself the disappointment like being forced by them to be always watched like some criminal by constant logging in, or thats how peoples democracy somewhere probably looks like. If they dont want you offline with bots, well, it might be that such a game is only to be worth by playing for free. Is them spying on you not the price enough ? If not, then why trying to force online ? What is the point ? They wont tell. I can go back to old bf 2, but are console people really free to choose ? How are they set up ? It is always better from power perspective, that they are dependent on you more than you on them. This is what is at play. When you are totally dependent on somebody, they get to control you and you will not have control over yourself. They will decide. Same happens in larger scale like politics. Countries too dependent on another, not diversified find themselves in a subordinate position. This is not off topic, this is just taking the point to make people understand how real world works and that it is better when you are independent of whoever would like to sell you something. They gain no leverage over you. Like constant log in. You dont see what they do, but they see what you do. This is not a relationship of sovereign equals. They keep pushing and you either diversify your options like I, or you end up in total dependence in either a monopoly or a cartel. This is how you really do not want it to be. And I'm not singling out any company or basically entity here.
Cheers and bye 🙂
this is not spam, so next time you try to delete this very important post, be ashamed, I am not afraid of your bans for showing the people way out of your corporate greedy practices.
EA is trying to make me silent. Peoples democratic practices.
They took the leveling up off so i aint ordering it at all they said if fans demand it they might bring it back well helooo people play battlefield to have a damn rank up not to play a call of duty or fortnite mode a seasonal is fine but to nit have leveoing up and and keeo ur levels is not a game for me and many more will be mad about it

Pre-order 1 hour before the beta launch, or 1 hour before full game launch - it depends whether you want to play the beta, or not.
At this time, I plan to wait to see some gameplay/more details. However, if they launched the beta today, I would probably buy it immediately.
Yep if you weren't willing to be at the shop at midnight to pick up your copy of the game then you had to que up with everyone elseOr where one of the luck SoB that got invited to be an Alpha/Beta tester and received instant hero status.
I prefer a solid copy now, it took me 2 days to down load BF4 and a day and a half to down load BF1 compared to half an hour with a disk.
Oh and that two days happened three times with computers dying.

Did you play BFV over those two years?
912h 29m Play Time
I gave the game all the time it needed. There are still unaddressed issues, including one that existed since the first month of the game
Do you mean some Things like Stealth Tanks, no footsteps, loading in a Game to get queued again or planes that drop bombs in the most unrealistic Way i have ever seen?
I did not had those in mind when I wrote the other post but, yeah them too.
The one that stands out the most for me is the bomb/rocket reload bug.
When BFV launched the bombs and rockets had an instant reload. DICE decided to nerf that and give the bombs and the rockets a reload timer. This had the side effect that if you went to the station without spending all your bombs or rockets of a type, then after the next timer you would only arm the ones you did not spent earlier and after spending them there would be a new reload timer to be able to use the rest of the rockets/bombs. This is why a lot of pilots habitually dump all their rockets and bombs before reaching the station.
BF1 had a simple fix to this in the form of a "reload" button for the planes like the one for the infantry. But this was too much to ask for PatchWorkField V.
