@Machetero0519I have 399 hours played and today I log in to see some * decided to take 64 player conquest away. Not only to the maps flow better objective to objective but they just perform better in a game that is not yet optimized enough for really smooth 128 player maps. Sigh.. WTF!It wasn't taken away... it was renamed to Exodus Conquest. It's the same but they added BF3+BC2 portal maps to the "rotation"
I just can't see or feel many things that 2042 does better than its predecessors. Like OP, the lack of content and specialists system are things I particularly dislike. I like the plus system, but if it disappears in a future patch or a new game, I probably won't miss it all that much.
Removing a ton of features and then deeming them "legacy" rubbed me the wrong way for sure
Actually theres TONS of flaws regarding this so its easy to say ALL of it!, but if i must choose one of the most idiotic and stupid things about this game
i must say........ THE LACK OF SERVERBROWSER!... Dice and EA, read again here ---->SERVERBROWSER FFS!
Games turned into wallhack heaven and the hit reg is the worst I have seen in a very long time!
Good riddance….next time dice don’t call me I’ll call you!

Poorly designed maps caused me to leave. I still remember the exact moment. I was at the Stadium in Hour Glass. I remember thinking how poorly designed and boring the Stadium area is for gun fights.
I decided to move to a different area, but the maps are so big I needed a vehicle to do so. So I tried to call in a transport vehicle but there were none available. So instead of walking for a half hour I just turned the game off and uninstalled it.
Then during the map feedback session everyone suggested DICE add more quad bikes around the maps so players can move around faster, but DICE said they can't do that because it would cause "performance issues".
So I never reinstalled the game and went back to playing Battlefield 1 because it's better designed and more fun to play. Plus it has persistent servers and map rotations where you can make friends and be part of a community. All of which are now legacy features in 2042.

Missing content in combination with broken promise of communicating more.
- @Tommyfare Man, looking back at that Feb post...
Whatever happened to a clearer, tighter squad loop? A refined ping system? Improved reward loop? Did they forget all those things?
What about Portal and tools? Outside of tweaking XP (lol) has anything been done?
The communication, or lack thereof, in this game has been an utter joke. There's no way to say this without sounding rude, but I honestly don't know what 3 full-time CM's do all day with this game. Because it definitely isn't communicating or engaging with the community, and often times it doesn't seem to be relaying community feedback either, at least not accurately. - Kona_uk4 years agoSeasoned Ace
The devs for me just a bunch of blatant liars.
- @edgecrusherO0 They spend their time hiding and making the next scripted video that will be released 6 months from now.

I decided not to buy the game after the beta. Primary cause was
* No server browser
* Specialists / hero crap
* No Joystick support (later added)* Tons of bugs.
But also the many missing features from previous games.
It did not really feel like a Battlefield game to me other than the large maps with vehicles.
