Probably not for free, but I expect a significant price reduction after Christmas.
Seems like a good decision not to have pre ordered.
The game does not seem to be worth the price at the moment and I`m still waiting for joystick support and a server browser before using the trial.
Good luck, whomever is running Dice and being pushed via EA have ruined this once great franchise...

Doubt I will ever buy another battlefield game.Enjoying Hell let loose and will boycott all EA games from now on.
- I think battlefield five was one of the best! By the way I’m having fun in this game too! Need some fixes but I don’t want to play the exact same game again and again for decades.
Apex has 85k players, BF 2042 only has 20k players. This game is dying FAST in just a month.
