I think you can still play with snipers and hold the objective. Might need to adjust your playstyle a bit, but I'm sure you will find a way to make it work.

EA_cuervo a playstyle adaptation is already needed now with the marksman rifles is my experience. With the G428 and BSV-M I got away with my aggressive play style due to the full auto modes on these guns.
Coming from SMG‘s the transition to marksman guns is especially harsh as I really need to be less aggressive. However, I also managed to complete the SVK so it should be doable. And maybe when I get the hang of it again I will try snipers.

SharpGoblin I've tried that, but when people with SMGs and ARs storm the objective, like I use to do, it's useless. The engagement distance becomes too close.
I mainly play Conquest and like to capture objectives. I'm changing my playstyle a bit now to hang back a bit more. Maybe I should switch to Breakthrough for the final marksman rifles and eventually snipers.
