Why are there more guns on a WW2 game than in a game a 100 years in the future

It's just crazy how the can make up any gun they want and we get minimal content for something battlefield is known for. It's lost all of its old battlefield jazz and feels like a rip off of call of duty. There is no more uniqueness anymore.
