Why does the new scoreboard show fake scores?

It's always reflected the XP rewards in-game previously, at least that was always my understanding of how it worked. It was a reflection of ALL your actions, not just kills/assists/captures, but also suppression (which doesn't exist anymore), vehicle assists (which also don't exist anymore), resupplies, heals etc.

I get that much of that information doesn't need to be tracked on a granular level on the scoreboard but...why does it seem that it isn't reflected at all? Instead we get 2 points for a kill, 1 point for an assist, 2 points for a revive, 3 points for what I assume is a full flag cap/defend. Why don't these numbers correspond with the actual XP we earn in-game? Why doesn't it give credit for partial flag assaults or partial flag defends (which you leave early since you don't need 10 people to finish capping a flag with no enemies around).

Like...it took me a bit to notice this, but it makes me worried that the game/engine is fundamentally busted and that despite 3 months of work, DICE still had to essentially fake a scoreboard...
