I was a daily player of battlefield 3&4, favoring helicopters. After the failure of Hardline and further games of ancient warfare, I was overjoyed to find 2042 had returned the franchise to current/futuristic warfare.I agree, as a pilot, the helicopters were overpowered in the beginning. But this recent nerfing of the helicopters makes them entirely ineffective and pointless, returning me to wanting another game.On the stealth heli, it takes half of a clip of explosive rounds to kill 1 infantry, with the damage being nurfed and the clip/usage being dramatically shorter.I was so happy to see 2042 but now find myself wondering if this game is worth playing. What's the point of having helis with no ability to inflict damage on a realistic level?

@DizzyMagnum69 Your post about helicopters being underpowered is 4 above a post about the weaponry being overpowered. (The number will probably change, it was 4 at time of this post). So who’s right? Are helicopters too strong or not strong enough? Are you more interested in just harvesting the enemy or should they have a chance at survival? It’s a combined arms game, nothing should be invincible or overpowered so that both vehicles and infantry can play and have fun doing it. They haven’t figured out the balance yet that’s clear, instead of being powerful maybe there should be more of them? They’ve nerfed the numbers of vehicles more than they nerfed the vehicles themselves. IMO that’s the real issue.

@ATFGunr crank up the heli’s offensive capability and let us kill it with one missile. Sounds fair to me.

Why have they killed the helicopters?

Stealth heicopters are happily clipping through objercts and buildings on there way to easy infantry kills
Then hide or clip inside somewhere to repair.
As you have stated to a relistic level why can infantry not shoot down a helicopter with one missile?
Also why are drones not here they are used today as Ukraine infantry have shown clearly and can take tanks etc out.
But not in this game based around year 2042 it's just stupid even new cod has a drone used as a weapon.

@DizzyMagnum69Why are you not using the bombs for the infantry though? This is what I always use for the infantry and I have set the gun pods as dual HMGs for better fighting other helicopters.

I think its safe to say they are not to be taken seriously.

@SleepyWeasel68Sounds like an attempt to balance them. Stronger weapons creates an ability for a longer range, which can equal a reduction in rockets flying at your face. The weaker heli also creates a greater respect for the ground pounders from the pilot, who’s going to be way more cautious than the pilots have been on 2042 so far. Players are going 90-0 in a stealth, so that’s still got to be corrected. Get 7-8 kills then die. If is pilot is getting more than 10+ kills in any vehicle, without getting repaired anyways, then it’s no good for the flow of a game. With a small increase in vehicles, you can rinse and repeat, or maybe another player gets a chance to fly instead of one dominant SOB keeping it the whole round.

You mean those things that fly in the air raining down unlimited ammo and rockets, using unlimited fuel, farming infantry that have little defense against them?
