Why is there no Battlefield 2042 ADS Dof Effect

Why does my gun blur when aiming?

It blurs around my gun, like in picture No. 1

There is no blur around my gun like in picture No. 2

Couldn't find that setting in game.

PS4 Version can this setting be added to the game?

    @M1racle_Pro

It's called Depth of Field and it's a technique of blurring certain regions so the eye gets fixated to a certain point.

On PC you can disable it through editing some files (you're perfectly okay to do this).

    1, Go to My Documents
    2, Battlefield 2042
    3, Settings folder
4, Open PROFSAVE_profile file via wordpad and find the following line: GstRender.WeaponDOF
5, Change the value from 1 to 0 and Save the file.

Also not sure if this removes the DOF for long range scopes though.

I'm not entirely sure it's possible to disable DOF on the console. You might have to ask for an update with DOF settings included to the developers over at DICE's offical Battlefield Twitter @Battlefield

The real (totally biased) question is why you have motion blur at 75 and not 0... Sorry motion blur is my one true biased opinion. I honestly think motion blur is the work of bad developers trying to hide poor skills in first person shooters.

Save your eyes, disable motion blur unless you like its effect.

That last picture in the settings is referring to how much zoom you get while ADS. On will be relative to your personal FOV. Off is the default FOV, so if you have 100 FOV with it Off, it will zoom in a lot more than with it On.

I think they adjusted some of the sights to have less blurring in a patch not too long ago. I’m not near my PC, but I’ll check the settings to see if there’s something you can change. If you’re a try hard you’ll definitely want there to be no blur. It’s easier to see and less distracting.

@M1racle_Pro There doesn’t look like there’s any blur in your pictures. I’m on my phone though. It’s probably very dependent on which scope you’re using. With the 1x you probably shouldn’t get much if any blurring.

I was pointing out what that settings does in the third picture.

Yeah I would raise your concern over at the official Battlefield handle on Twitter @Battlefield.

Also, if you can get a ton of people to back you, it should be quite easy to get the developers attention to add such an accessibility feature.

Here though it's quite useless to ask for features (that's my opinion) as most of anything isn't shared with the developers unless the developers are specifically asking for such feedback or roaming the forums themselves with unlabeled accounts.
